Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500, 5500 and Dodge Ram 1500 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II steps are designed for specific vehicles. Fitment includes: Silverado/Sierra Regular Cab, Dodge Ram Regular Cab, Ford F150 Regular Cab, Ford Super Duty Regular Cab, Tundra Regular Cab, Toyota FJ Cruiser, and Ford Escape. You must use the bracket package specific to your vehicle model. Confirm your exact vehicle year and cab style before purchasing, as the steps require vehicle-specific mounting brackets.
The 571631 bracket kit is designed for 2009+ Dodge Ram 1500 Regular Cab Pickups and 2010+ Dodge Ram HD Regular Cab Pickups and Chassis Cabs. If your truck is older than 2009 (1500) or 2010 (HD), this bracket kit will not fit. Verify your truck year and cab style before ordering.
Each O-MEGA II step kit includes: 2 aluminum extrusions (silver or black), 4 step pads, 4 plastic end caps, 20 square head bolts (5/16-18 x 1"), 20 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 20 TEK screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). The exact extrusion part numbers vary by color and size (553069, 553057, or 553070). You will also need the vehicle-specific bracket package, which is ordered separately.
The 571631 bracket kit includes: 4 mounting brackets (front and rear, left and right), 8 carriage bolts (1/4-20 x 1"), 8 flat washers (1/4"), 8 flange nuts (1/4-20), 8 M8 x 25mm hex head screws, 8 flat washers (5/16"), 4 M8 flange nuts, 4 T-bolt weldments, and 4 plastic bolt retainers. Additional fasteners may be required depending on whether your truck has threaded inserts in the rocker panel.
Yes. You must drill 5 holes (1/8" diameter) through each step pad using the pad as a guide. These holes are used to attach the step pads to the step plates with TEK screws. The bracket mounting to the vehicle may also require drilling depending on your vehicle model and whether it has factory threaded inserts or obround holes.
Drilling is required only if your truck does not have obround holes in the pinch weld. 2009 to 2012 Dodge Ram trucks do not have these holes and will require drilling 2 holes (5/16" diameter) for each bracket. Trucks with factory threaded inserts in the rocker panel do not require drilling. Confirm your truck year and inspect the pinch weld before starting installation.
Step pad position varies by vehicle model. Use the Pad Location Guide on Sheet 2: Silverado/Sierra Regular Cab (Pad A at 14-3/4"), Dodge Ram Regular Cab (Pad A at 10-1/2"), Ford F150 Regular Cab (Pad A at 18-1/4"), Ford Super Duty Regular Cab (Pad A at 6-7/8"), Tundra Regular Cab (Pad A at 6-1/2"), Toyota FJ Cruiser (Pad A at 6-1/2"), and Ford Escape (Pad A at 5-1/2", Pad B at 35-1/2"). These are suggestions and may be adjusted at your discretion. The 2008-2012 Ford Escape uses 2 pads per side.
Position the step pad on the step plate according to your vehicle model. Using the step pad as a guide, drill 5 holes (1/8" diameter) through the pad and into the plate. Attach the pad with 5 TEK screws (#8-18 x 1/2") provided. Repeat for all step pads. Do not deform the plastic during installation.
Install the plastic end caps (item #3) as shown in Figure 1. Snug up the nuts, but be careful not to deform the plastic end caps during tightening.
First, install the required number of square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws are located in the slots and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
For the driver's side front bracket: place it against the pinch weld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. Align the two rectangular holes in the lower flange with the two obround holes in the pinch weld. Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts through the flange and pinch weld, add a 1/4" flat washer and 1/4-20 flange nut to each bolt, and leave finger tight. For the upper flange, insert an M8 x 25mm screw with a 5/16" flat washer through the slots and leave finger tight. Repeat for the rear bracket. Mirror this process on the passenger side using the appropriate right-hand brackets. Do not fully tighten until all brackets and steps are installed and adjusted.
Install the T-bolt weldment (item #11) into the large obround hole in the rocker panel vertical wall, inserting the nut end first and leaving the threaded stud exposed. Attach the plastic bolt retainer (item #12) to the threaded stud to prevent it from falling into the rocker panel. Place the driver's side front bracket against the pinch weld with the lower mounting flange to the outside. Align the two rectangular holes with the two obround holes in the pinch weld. Insert two 1/4-20 x 1" carriage bolts, add a 1/4" flat washer and 1/4-20 flange nut to each, and leave finger tight. Place a flat washer and M8 flange nut on the T-bolt threaded stud, leaving finger tight. Rotate the T-bolt so the threaded nut is visible through the slotted hole in the upper mounting flange. Insert an M8 x 25mm screw with a 5/16" flat washer and leave finger tight. Repeat for the rear bracket and mirror on the passenger side. Do not fully tighten until all brackets and steps are installed and adjusted.
Your truck will require drilling. With the bracket in place against the pinch weld, mark the pinch weld for drilling. Drill 2 holes (5/16" diameter) for each bracket at the marked locations. Then proceed with installing the carriage bolts and fasteners as described in the standard installation steps. Leave all fasteners finger tight until all brackets and steps are installed and adjusted.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws (item #4) that attach the step to the brackets must be tightened to 19 lb-ft.
The manual does not specify required tools. However, based on the installation process, you will need: a drill with a 1/8" bit (for step pad holes) and a wrench or socket set to tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts to 19 lb-ft. For bracket installation, you may need additional tools depending on your vehicle and whether drilling is required.
The manual does not specify required tools. However, based on the installation process, you will need: a wrench or socket set for 1/4" and M8 fasteners, a drill with a 5/16" bit (if your truck requires drilling), and possibly a torque wrench. The manual does not provide torque specifications for bracket fasteners.
The O-MEGA II fits Silverado/Sierra, Dodge Ram, Ford F150, Ford Super Duty, Tundra, Toyota FJ Cruiser, and Ford Escape regular cabs. You must use the vehicle-specific bracket package. Confirm your exact vehicle year and cab style before purchasing.
