Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Dodge Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

They are available in multiple models (583072, 583078, 583088, 584072, 584078, 584088) in silver and black finishes, and are mounted to vehicle-specific brackets that attach to your vehicle's frame.
The O-MEGA II steps are a universal application with specific pad location guidance provided for: Silverado, Sierra, Colorado, Canyon, Avalanche, Suburban, Yukon XL, Tahoe, Yukon, RAM Quad Cab, RAM Crew Cab, RAM Mega Cab, Dodge Dakota Quad Cab, Dodge Durango, Ford F150 Super Cab, Ford F150 Super Crew Cab, Ford Super Duty Super Cab, Ford Super Duty Crew Cab, Toyota Tundra Double Cab 07+, Toyota Tundra CrewMax 07+, Toyota Tacoma Access Cab, and Toyota Tacoma Double Cab. A vehicle-specific bracket package is required for installation.
The manual provides step pad location guidance for specific cab styles including Double Cab, Extended Cab, Crew Cab, Super Cab, Super Crew Cab, Quad Cab, Mega Cab, and CrewMax configurations. Consult the Step Pad Location Guide on page 2 for your exact vehicle model and cab style. However, the manual does not specify which of the six model numbers (583072, 583078, 583088, 584072, 584078, 584088) corresponds to your vehicle—contact the manufacturer or your retailer to confirm the correct model for your truck.
Each kit includes: 2 aluminium step extrusions (in silver or black), 4 step pads, 4 plastic end caps, 24 square head bolts (5/16-18 x 1"), 24 serrated flange nuts (5/16-18), and 20 tek screws (#8-18 x 1/2"). The bracket package is ordered separately and includes its own installation instructions.
The manual specifies that you will need a drill with a 1/8" drill bit to create holes for the step pad attachment. A wrench or socket set is needed to tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts to 19 lb-ft and the end cap nuts to 5 lb-ft. The manual does not list other required tools; refer to the bracket package instructions for any additional tools needed to mount the brackets to your vehicle.
Yes. The manual states that you must follow the instructions included with the specific bracket package for your vehicle to mount the brackets to your vehicle. The bracket package is not included with the steps and must be ordered separately. The steps attach to these brackets using square head bolts and serrated flange nuts.
Yes. The manual explicitly states: "READ INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY AND CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL REQUIRED PARTS (LISTED ON THE SERVICE PARTS LIST) ARE ON HAND BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION." Verify you have 2 step extrusions, 4 step pads, 4 end caps, 24 square head bolts, 24 serrated flange nuts, and 20 tek screws before beginning work.
1. Mount the brackets to your vehicle using the bracket package instructions. 2. Position and attach the step pads to the step plates using 1/8" holes and tek screws. 3. Install the square head bolts into the slots on the bottom of the step plates. 4. Install the end caps and tighten the nuts to 5 lb-ft. 5. Position the assembled step on the mounting brackets, ensuring the square head bolts are in the bracket slots and the step is centred front to rear. 6. Install serrated flange nuts on the square head bolts and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Before attaching the step pads to the step plates, use the Step Pad Location Guide on page 2 to determine the correct position for your specific vehicle model and cab style. The guide provides measurements for Pad A (distance from the front) and Pad B (distance from the rear) for each vehicle. Note that the manual states these are suggestions and may be placed at the purchaser's discretion.
Yes. When installing the step pads on the step plates, you must drill 5 holes using a 1/8" drill bit, using the step pad as a guide. The pads are then attached with 5 tek screws (#8-18 x 1/2") provided in the kit. This drilling is into the step pad and step plate only, not into the vehicle.
The end cap nuts must be tightened to 5 lb-ft. The end caps are plastic components (part number 107956) that are installed as shown in Figure 1 on the manual.
The 5/16" serrated flange nuts (part number 102680) that secure the square head bolts (part number 106880) to the mounting brackets must be tightened to 19 lb-ft. These bolts hold the step assembly to the vehicle-mounted brackets.
The square head bolts are 5/16-18 x 1" (part number 106880). A total of 24 bolts are included in the kit. These bolts are installed into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates and then secured to the mounting brackets with 5/16" serrated flange nuts tightened to 19 lb-ft.
The tek screws are #8-18 x 1/2" stainless steel (part number 107958). A total of 20 screws are provided in the kit. Five screws are used per step pad, and they are installed through 1/8" holes drilled in the step pad and step plate.
A 1/8" drill bit is required. You will drill 5 holes per step pad using the pad as a guide, then attach the pad with 5 tek screws.
The steps are universal but require a vehicle-specific bracket package. Consult the Step Pad Location Guide on page 2 for your exact vehicle model and cab style (Double Cab, Crew Cab, Super Cab, etc.). Contact the manufacturer or retailer to confirm the correct model number for your truck.
You will need a drill with a 1/8" bit and a wrench or socket set to tighten nuts to 5 lb-ft and 19 lb-ft. The bracket package instructions may require additional tools.
