Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. This package includes the side steps only and requires mounting brackets for a complete installation (sold separately).

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. The kit includes: one 33.00" or 95.00" aluminum O-MEGA step extrusion (silver or black), four aluminum step pads, four plastic end caps, eighteen 5/16-18 square head screws, eighteen 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts, and twenty-four #8-18 x 1/2" tek screws. The specific extrusion length and colour depend on your vehicle. A separate bracket package (with its own instructions) is required to mount the steps to your vehicle.
The O-MEGA II steps are listed as a universal application, but fitment depends on the specific bracket package you use. The bracket package instructions (included separately) will confirm compatibility with your vehicle make, model, and year. You must follow those bracket-specific instructions to mount the brackets to your vehicle before attaching the steps.
The manual specifies that you will need a drill to create 1/8" pilot holes in the step pads. You will also need wrenches or a socket set to tighten the serrated flange nuts and end cap nuts. A torque wrench is recommended to achieve the specified torque values (5 lb-ft for end caps, 19 lb-ft for flange nuts). The bracket package instructions will specify any additional tools needed for bracket installation.
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are on hand before starting. Then follow the instructions included with your specific bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle. Do not attach the O-MEGA steps to the brackets until the brackets are properly installed and the step pads are prepared.
Place the step pads (four total) on top of the step plates in the correct position for your vehicle. Using the holes in the step pad as a guide, drill five 1/8" pilot holes through each pad into the step plate. Attach each pad using five #8-18 x 1/2" tek screws (provided). Repeat this process for all four step pads.
Install the end caps as shown in Figure 1 of the manual. Tighten the nuts on the end caps to 5 lb-ft. There are four end caps total (one for each end of the step assembly).
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft. The square head bolts must already be installed in the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates before positioning the step on the brackets.
Tighten the end cap nuts to 5 lb-ft.
