Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Nissan NV1500, NV2500 and NV3500 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.
LUVERNE O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum and shielded in a highly durable powder coat finish of textured black or smooth silver.

LUVERNE has manufactured truck accessories in the United States since 1963, specialising in grille guards, running boards, side steps and mud guards for pickups, commercial vans and SUVs. Products are built primarily from stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel, with model-specific mounting kits that use existing frame locations for a bolt-on installation.
LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. Material choice runs through everything the brand does: stainless steel where appearance and corrosion resistance matter most, aluminium where weight is the priority, and mild steel with protective coating where strength and value lead. Customers include contractors, fleet operators, van upfitters and truck owners.

The O-MEGA II 6" oval steps are available as model 583100 and model 584100. Both models use the same installation instructions and are designed for universal application.
The Mega Step Brackets model 571164 are designed for 2011 Nissan NV Vans in both short and long bed configurations. They are not compatible with other vehicles.
Yes, the Grip Step Brackets model 401164 are designed for 2011 Nissan NV Vans in both short and long bed configurations. They are an alternative to the Mega Step Brackets (model 571164).
The O-MEGA II steps include aluminum step pads (part number 552970) available in black. Four pads are supplied per step assembly. The pads are installed on top of the step plates using 8-18×1/2" TEK screws (part number 107958).
The O-MEGA II steps include: 18 square head screws 5/16-18×1" (part 106880), 18 serrated flange nuts 5/16-18 (part 102680), 24 TEK screws #8-18×1/2" (part 107958), and 4 plastic end caps (part 107956). Additional fasteners are supplied with the bracket package for your specific vehicle.
The bracket package for 2011 Nissan NV Vans includes: 6 hex head cap screws 5/16-18×1.0" (part 106997), 12 flat washers 5/16" (part 106998), 6 serrated flange nuts 5/16-18 (part 106996), and 12 hex head self-tapping screws 1/4"×3/4" (part 100004).
You will need a drill with bits for 1/8" pilot holes, 3/8" holes (for Nissan NV pinch weld), and 5/32" holes (for rocker panel). A wrench or socket set for 5/16" fasteners is required. A level is recommended to ensure brackets are properly aligned during installation.
Yes. The manual explicitly states: 'READ INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY AND CHECK TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL REQUIRED PARTS (LISTED ON THE SERVICE PARTS LIST) ARE ON HAND BEFORE STARTING THE INSTALLATION.' Verify all parts are present before beginning work.
Yes. The manual states: 'FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED WITH THE SPECIFIC BRACKET PACKAGE THAT YOU ARE USING, TO MOUNT THE BRACKETS TO YOUR VEHICLE.' The brackets must be mounted to the vehicle first, then the step assembly is attached to the brackets.
1. Place the step pads (part 552970) on top of the step plates. 2. Using the holes in the step pad as a guide, drill five 1/8" pilot holes. 3. Attach the pads with five 8-18×1/2" TEK screws (part 107958). 4. Repeat for all step pads. Do this before mounting the steps to the brackets.
1. Install step pads on step plates using TEK screws. 2. Install square head bolts into the designated slots in the bottom of the step plates. 3. Install end caps and tighten nuts to 5 lb-ft. 4. Position the step on the mounting brackets so square head screws are in the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. 5. Install serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Install the end caps (part 107956) as shown in Figure 1 of the manual. Tighten the nuts to 5 lb-ft. The end caps are plastic and measure 2.95×6.70 inches.
Position the step so that the square head screws (part 106880) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets and the step is centered front to rear on the vehicle. This ensures proper alignment and weight distribution.
Yes. Drilling is required in two locations: (1) Two or four 3/8" diameter holes through the middle of the pinch weld for bottom mounting holes (location varies by side—see Figures 1 and 3 in the manual), and (2) Two 5/32" holes through the inner rocker panel for each bracket for self-tapping screws. Measurements are taken from the front wheel well opening.
Drill 3/8" diameter holes through the middle of the pinch weld. The driver side requires two holes and the passenger side requires four holes. Locations are measured from the front wheel well opening and shown in Figures 1 and 3 of the manual.
Drill 5/32" holes through the inner rocker panel. Two holes are drilled for each bracket, using the top two holes in the bracket as a guide. These holes receive the 1/4"×3/4" self-tapping screws (part 100004).
Drill five 1/8" pilot holes using the holes in the step pad as a guide. These pilot holes receive the 8-18×1/2" TEK screws (part 107958) that secure the pads to the step plates.
Tighten the end cap nuts to 5 lb-ft. Do not over-tighten, as the end caps are plastic.
Tighten the 5/16" serrated flange nuts (part 102680) on the square head screws (part 106880) to 19 lb-ft. These fasteners secure the step assembly to the mounting brackets.
Torque all 5/16" nuts and bolts to 20 lb-ft. This applies to the hex head cap screws (part 106997) and serrated flange nuts (part 106996) that secure the brackets to the vehicle's pinch weld.
No. The manual explicitly states: 'USE CARE NOT TO OVER TIGHTEN' when installing the 1/4"×3/4" self-tapping screws (part 100004) into the inner rocker panel. Over-tightening can damage the rocker panel or strip the fastener.
No. The end caps are plastic (part 107956). Tighten the nuts to 5 lb-ft only; over-tightening can crack or damage the plastic caps.
The O-MEGA II steps are designed for universal application, but they must be used with a vehicle-specific bracket package. Confirm your vehicle is supported by the bracket package before purchasing.
Yes, model 571164 Mega Step Brackets are designed for 2011 Nissan NV Vans in both short and long bed configurations.
Yes. For Nissan NV installations, you must drill 3/8" holes through the pinch weld and 5/32" holes through the inner rocker panel. For O-MEGA II step pad installation, you must drill five 1/8" pilot holes per pad.
Tighten end cap nuts to 5 lb-ft and step mounting bolts (5/16" serrated flange nuts) to 19 lb-ft. For Nissan NV brackets, torque all 5/16" nuts and bolts to 20 lb-ft.
Yes. The bracket package must be mounted to the vehicle first, following its specific instructions. The step assembly is then attached to the brackets.
No. Use care not to over-tighten the 1/4"×3/4" self-tapping screws (part 100004) when installing into the inner rocker panel, as this can damage the panel.
Loosen the 5/16" serrated flange nuts (part 102680) on the square head screws (part 106880) to 19 lb-ft specification. Reposition the step so it is centered front to rear on the mounting brackets. Ensure the square head screws remain in the slots of the mounting brackets. Retighten the nuts to 19 lb-ft.
In step 2, the manual states to 'TIGHTEN THESE FASTENERS DOWN ENSURING THAT THEY ARE LEVEL WITH THE VEHICLE.' If brackets are not level, loosen the 5/16-18×1.0 bolts, flange nuts, and washers, adjust the bracket position until level, and retighten. Use a level to verify alignment before proceeding to drilling.
The manual warns: 'USE CARE NOT TO OVER TIGHTEN' the 1/4"×3/4" self-tapping screws (part 100004). Over-tightening can strip the fastener or damage the rocker panel. Tighten only until snug; do not force. If the screw is already damaged, replace it with a new self-tapping screw of the same size.
