Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ford Transit-150, Transit-250 and Transit-350 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.

1. Start on the passenger side and locate mounting locations using Fig 1 and Fig 3. 2. Mark each hole on the rocker and pinch weld. 3. Drill pilot holes with 3/32" bit, then enlarge with 3/8" bit. 4. Install the first bracket using 3" U-bolts, plastic bolt retainers, washers, and nuts. 5. Repeat for the second bracket. 6. Move to the 3rd and 4th brackets (using factory studs or 3.75" U-bolts as applicable). 7. Continue to the 5th bracket. 8. Repeat the entire process on the driver side using Fig 2 and Fig 4. 9. Install the AC bracket last. 10. Keep all brackets loose until the step board is placed and leveled.
Thread the 3" U-bolt through the top 2 mounting holes and secure with 2 plastic bolt retainers. Slide 2 clip nuts onto the pinch weld for the bottom mounting locations. Slide the front mounting bracket onto the U-bolts and secure with 2 5/16" flat washers and 2 M8 nuts on the studs, plus 2 5/16" lock washers and 2 M8 bolts in the clip nuts. Leave loose until final assembly.
Insert the M8 T-bolt weldment with a plastic retainer clip to secure it in place. Slide the rear mounting bracket onto the T-bolts and secure with 1 M8 nut and 2 M8 bolts. Leave the bracket loose until the step board is placed and leveled.
After assembling the AC bracket, place it along the pinch seam using Fig 2 and Fig 4 and mark the 4 hole locations. Drill the 2 upper holes with a 19/64" bit and the 2 bottom holes with a 3/8" bit. Slide 2 clip nuts onto the pinch weld for the lower holes. Attach the AC bracket using 2 M8 bolts and 2 5/16" lock washers on the bottom clip nuts, and 2 5/16" thread cutting bolts and 2 5/16" lock washers on the upper holes. Leave loose until final assembly.
Do not tighten any brackets during installation. After assembling all brackets and before attaching the step board, place the step board on the brackets. Place the step pads (item 3) on top of the step plates. Using the holes in the step pad as a guide, drill 5 pilot holes with a 1/8" bit. Attach the pads using 5 8-18 x 1/2" tek screws (item 7) provided. Repeat for all step pads.
Install the end caps (item 4) as shown in Fig 1, and tighten the nuts to 5 lb ft. The manual does not provide additional details on end cap placement or orientation.
