Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. The step pads offer a non-skid surface, and they are finished with a textured black powder coat for lasting corrosion resistance. Also unique to our O-Mega II step pads is their customizable positioning. The pads are packaged unattached from the tubes and mount with self-tapping screws. This allows you to precisely match the layout of your vehicle to suit your preferences. You can mount them to the provided factory specifications or adjust them to a custom placement. The 6" x 2-3/4" tubes are fitted with black TPO plastic end caps, adding a modern, professional look. The end caps are also paintable to allow for even further customization. Each set of O-Mega II side steps is designed for vehicle-specific installation and fitment, using a unique set of mounting brackets. This particular set of side steps fits specific years of the Ford Transit-150, Transit-250 and Transit-350 (see application info to verify fitment). NOTE: Mounting brackets are included but ship separately.

Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. The O-MEGA II 6" Oval Steps are universal-application running steps manufactured by Curt. Models 583100 and 584100 are oval-profile aluminum extrusions available in silver or black finish. They are mounted to vehicles using a separate bracket package specific to your vehicle, and include step pads, end caps, and all fasteners needed for installation.
The O-MEGA II steps are universal in design, but you must use a bracket package specific to your vehicle. The bracket package instructions are included separately and must be followed to mount the brackets to your vehicle before attaching the steps. Contact the manufacturer or your retailer to confirm the correct bracket package for your vehicle make, model, and year.
Each kit includes: one aluminum extrusion (33" or 95" depending on model), four step pads (black aluminum), four end caps (plastic), 18 square head bolts (5/16"-18 × 1"), 18 serrated flange nuts (5/16"-18, stainless steel), and 24 TEK screws (#8-18 × 1/2", stainless steel). Verify all parts are present before starting installation.
You will need a drill with a 1/8" drill bit to create pilot holes for the step pads, and a wrench or socket to tighten the end cap nuts and flange nuts. A torque wrench is recommended to achieve the specified torque values of 5 lb-ft for end caps and 19 lb-ft for the main mounting bolts.
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed in the Service Parts List are present. Then follow the instructions included with your vehicle-specific bracket package to mount the brackets to your vehicle. Do not attach the steps to the brackets until the brackets are properly installed.
Place the step pads (black aluminum, item #3) on top of the step plates. Using the holes in the step pad as a guide, drill five 1/8" pilot holes through the pad into the plate. Attach each pad with five #8-18 × 1/2" TEK screws (item #7). Repeat this process for all four step pads.
Install the end caps (item #4) as shown in Figure 1 of the manual. Tighten the nuts securing the end caps to 5 lb-ft. The end caps are plastic and fit over the ends of the step extrusion.
Position the O-MEGA step on the mounting brackets so that the square head screws (item #5) are located in the slots of the mounting brackets. Center the step front to rear on the vehicle. Install 5/16" serrated flange nuts (item #6) on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
1. Mount the bracket package to your vehicle following the bracket instructions. 2. Attach the step pads to the step plates using pilot holes and TEK screws. 3. Install the square head bolts into the slots in the bottom of the step plates. 4. Install the end caps and tighten to 5 lb-ft. 5. Position the assembled step on the brackets and tighten the flange nuts to 19 lb-ft.
Yes. You must drill five 1/8" pilot holes through each step pad into the step plate. Use the holes in the step pad as a guide. This is required before attaching the pads with TEK screws.
