Like many LUVERNE side steps and running boards, O-Mega II 6" oval side steps are made to work hard and to do it with style. They are constructed from strong, lightweight, rust-free aluminum, and to truly make them a step up from the rest, we shield them in a highly durable powder coat finish. This ensures maximum corrosion resistance and excellent protection against scuffs and scratches. The side steps are available in two powder coat finish options, including textured black and silver powder coat. O-Mega II side steps are also made to provide safe, comfortable entry and exit from your vehicle. They feature tough aluminum step pads with protruded circular treads that will never wear or crack. This package includes the side steps only and requires mounting brackets for a complete installation (sold separately).

LUVERNE has been manufacturing automotive accessories in the United States since 1963, and six decades of continuous production have made it a nationally recognised name in the truck accessory market. Now a Lippert brand, it concentrates on a defined set of products rather than spreading across the whole aftermarket: front-end protection, step access and spray protection for pickup trucks, commercial vans and sport utility vehicles.
Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.
Rounding out the line, LUVERNE mud guards and mud flaps shield rocker panels, paint and following vehicles from stones and road spray, in widths matched to the tyre and fender they sit behind. The kit includes one 33" or 95" aluminum extrusion (silver or black), four step pads, four end caps, 18 square head screws, 18 serrated flange nuts, and 24 TEK screws. The specific extrusion length and colour depend on your vehicle. All fasteners and hardware needed for assembly are included.

The manual specifies that a drill is required to create five 1/8" pilot holes in each step pad. A socket or wrench is needed to tighten the end cap nuts and the serrated flange nuts. No other tools are explicitly listed in the manual.

1. Attach step pads to the step plates using TEK screws. 2. Install square head bolts into the slots in the bottom of the step plates. 3. Install end caps and tighten the nuts to 5 lb-ft. 4. Position the step on the mounting brackets so the square head screws align with the bracket slots and the step is centered front to rear. 5. Install serrated flange nuts on the square head screws and tighten to 19 lb-ft.
Place the step pads on top of the step plates. Using the holes in the step pad as a guide, drill five 1/8" pilot holes. Attach each pad with five 8-18×1/2" TEK screws (item #7). Repeat this process for all four step pads.
