This, combined with the classic styling of popular nerf bars, allows Regal 7 oval side steps to easily live up to their name. Each is set with full-width step pads that offer a non-skid surface for ultimate comfort and safety. They are also capped on each end with contoured end caps, giving them a professional look and added protection against small rocks and road debris. Both the step pads and end caps are factory-installed and securely bolted in place. To make sure these deluxe side steps maintain their classy appearance, we construct them from stainless steel. This gives them the durability to outlast rust through every season of the year, and the strength to be offer reliable footing with every climb. They are available in a high-polish stainless steel finish for a bright, eye-catching shine or a durable black powder coat for a tough, no-nonsense accent. When it comes to our Regal 7 oval side steps, we don't trust anyone else to build them with uncompromising quality. We design each one for a vehicle-specific fit. This particular set of side steps is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 1500, 2500 HD, 3500 HD or Tahoe and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD, 3500 HD or Yukon (see application information to verify vehicle fitment). They install using a 3" wide channel on the bottom side and high-strength steel brackets with a durable black powder coat finish (NOTE: The mounting brackets for these steps are included but shipped separately).

The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.

The 400713 step brackets are designed for 2007 GM Silverado and Sierra Extended/Crew Cab Pickups, and 2007 GM Tahoe, Suburban, Avalanche, Yukon, and Yukon XL models.
Yes, the step is pre-assembled from the factory. The serial number label is located on the front inside driver's side step assembly.
Each step assembly includes 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolts (item #10), flat washers (item #11), and serrated flange nuts (item #12). Eight support mounting plates (item #9) are also included—one for each attachment point.
1. Set the step on the mounting brackets. 2. Slide each support mounting plate (item #9) inside the oval step and above each bracket. 3. Using the supplied 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolt, washer, and serrated flange nut, attach the step assembly, support mounting plate, and mounting bracket. 4. Set the step plate in the correct position and tighten all fasteners.
Torque all 5/16" fasteners to 19 LB FT.
Attach the top of the mounting brackets (item #1) to the vehicle as shown in the instructions. The specific attachment method depends on whether your vehicle has threaded inserts in the rocker panels or requires U-nuts.
Some vehicles have threaded inserts in the rocker panels and will not require U-nut installation. Other vehicles require 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts (item #7) to be inserted into the upper holes in the rocker panel. Check your vehicle's rocker panel before installation to determine which fastening method applies.
If your vehicle has threaded inserts, use a black M8 x 30 mm screw (item #3) in place of the 5/16-18 x 1.0 screw. A nylon washer (item #2) must be placed between the top of the mounting bracket and the bottom of the rocker panel. An M8 flange nut (item #6) is not required when threaded inserts are present.
The pinch weld support bracket (item #8) is placed above the pinch weld during installation. An M8 flange nut (item #6) is installed with it (unless your vehicle has a threaded insert attached). This is done on each mounting bracket.
Tighten all fasteners on the 400713 step brackets to 19 LB FT.
Yes. When attaching the top of the brackets to the vehicle with the 5/16-18 x 1.0 screw and flat washer, hand tighten only initially. Final tightening to 19 LB FT is done after all fasteners are in place.
After attaching the step assembly to the mounting brackets, set the step plate in the correct position and tighten all fasteners to 19 LB FT. For specific details on step assembly installation, review the installation instructions included with your step assembly.
The step pads (item #6) are 25" x 6.5" and made of black plastic. Eight pads are included in the service parts list.
Three lengths are available: 76" (model 477078, part #552059), 86" (model 477088, part #552060), and 96" (model 477098, parts #552061 for left side and #552062 for right side).
