They are the largest oval nerf bars on the market, featuring a patented design, non-skid step pads and a sleek nerf bar styling. Built on the idea that a deluxe ride needs a deluxe entrance, these 7" ovals have a width comparable to some of the largest running boards available. This, combined with the classic styling of popular nerf bars, allows Regal 7 oval side steps to easily live up to their name. Each is set with full-width step pads that offer a non-skid surface for ultimate comfort and safety. They are also capped on each end with contoured end caps, giving them a professional look and added protection against small rocks and road debris. Both the step pads and end caps are factory-installed and securely bolted in place. To make sure these deluxe side steps maintain their classy appearance, we construct them from stainless steel. This gives them the durability to outlast rust through every season of the year, and the strength to be offer reliable footing with every climb. They are available in a high-polish stainless steel finish for a bright, eye-catching shine or a durable black powder coat for a tough, no-nonsense accent. When it comes to our Regal 7 oval side steps, we don't trust anyone else to build them with uncompromising quality. We design each one for a vehicle-specific fit. This particular set of side steps is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 1500, 2500, 2500 HD, 3500 or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500, 2500 HD, 3500 and 3500 HD (see application information to verify vehicle fitment). They install using a 3" wide channel on the bottom side and high-strength steel brackets with a durable black powder coat finish (NOTE: The mounting brackets for these steps are included but shipped separately).

Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.

The REGAL 7 OVAL STEPS (models 477078, 477088, 477098) are pre-assembled from the factory. The package includes the step boards, end caps, step pads, fasteners (carriage bolts, nylock nuts, hex head screws, washers, and serrated flange nuts), and support mounting plates. The serial number label is located on the front inside of the driver's side step assembly. Mounting brackets are not included and must be purchased separately with their own installation instructions.
The REGAL 7 OVAL STEPS (models 477078, 477088, 477098) are designed for universal applications. However, you must purchase the correct mounting brackets separately for your specific vehicle. The brackets determine fitment. Model 401113 brackets are designed for 1999 GM Silverado and Sierra Extended/Crew Cab Pickups. For other vehicles, consult the bracket package instructions to confirm compatibility.
The three models differ in step length. Model 477078 is 76 inches, model 477088 is 86 inches, and model 477098 is 96 inches. Each model comes as a left-hand and right-hand pair (or single units for the 96-inch model). The correct length must match your vehicle's bed width.
Yes. If you are mounting the steps on a 1500 model pickup using the 401113 bracket package, you must attach the 90-degree bracket (item #14, part number 551571) to the front mounting brackets (items #1 and #2) in order to use the load reaction stud. This bracket is included in the 401113 package.
The steps are attached to the mounting brackets using 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolts (item #10, part number 106997), 5/16" flat washers (item #11, part number 106998), and 5/16-18 serrated flange nuts (item #12, part number 102680). Eight support mounting plates (item #9, part number 552052) are positioned inside the oval step above each bracket. All 5/16" fasteners must be torqued to 19 LB FT.
Each load reaction stud assembly requires: one 3/8" serrated flange nut (item #10, part number 106995) installed backwards to the bottom of the short threaded end, one 3/8" flat washer (item #9, part number 106962), and one rubber cushion washer (item #8, part number 102592) installed tight against the serrated flange nut. A second 3/8" serrated flange nut is installed backwards near the bottom of the long threaded end. The rubber washer end of the stud must be recessed approximately 3/16" into the rubber washer.
Read the complete installation instructions and verify that all required parts listed on the service parts list are on hand before starting. For the REGAL 7 OVAL STEPS, confirm you have the correct step model (477078, 477088, or 477098) for your vehicle width. Obtain the mounting bracket package designed for your specific vehicle and review its installation instructions. For 401113 brackets on 1999 GM Silverado/Sierra, ensure you have the correct bracket set for Extended or Crew Cab configuration.
1. Set the step on the mounting brackets. 2. Slide each support mounting plate (item #9) inside the oval step and position it above each bracket. 3. Insert a 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolt (item #10) through the support mounting plate and bracket, add a 5/16" flat washer (item #11) and serrated flange nut (item #12). 4. Set the step plate in the correct position. 5. Tighten all fasteners and torque all 5/16" fasteners to 19 LB FT.
1. Assemble the load reaction studs with hardware per section 2.1-2.2. 2. Attach the stud assemblies to the body mounting brackets. 3. Remove factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts one side of the vehicle at a time. 4. Install the front mounting brackets (items #1 and #2) to the front cab mount, leaving fasteners finger tight. 5. Install the center mounting brackets (items #3 and #4) to the center cab mount, leaving fasteners finger tight. 6. Install the rear inboard mounting bracket (item #7) and washer (item #13) to the rear cab mount, leaving fasteners finger tight (Extended and Crew Cab only). 7. For Extended Cab, attach the rear outboard bracket per section 4.3.1. For Crew Cab, attach per section 4.3.2. 8. Tighten all body mount bolts per manufacturer specifications. 9. Attach the step assembly per the step assembly instructions.
Insert the stud from the inboard side of the bracket through the lowest hole in the bent flange that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame. Install a black 3/8" flange nut (item #10) on the outboard end of the stud, finger tight only at this stage.
Attach the rear outboard cab mounting bracket (items #5 and #6) to the rear inboard cab mounting bracket (item #7) using 3/8" black zinc-plated bolts (item #12), washers (item #9), and serrated flange nuts (item #10). The rear outboard bracket must be mounted to the back side of the rear inboard bracket (towards the rear of the vehicle). Use the bottom single hole and bottom double holes in the rear inboard bracket. Put the bolts through the front side of the bracket so the flange nuts are on the back side to allow clearance for the truck frame. Torque the bolts to 19 LB FT.
Attach the rear outboard cab mounting bracket (items #5 and #6) to the rear inboard cab mounting bracket (item #7) using 3/8" black zinc-plated bolts (item #12), washers (item #9), and serrated flange nuts (item #10). The rear outboard bracket must be mounted to the back side of the rear inboard bracket (towards the rear of the vehicle). Use the bottom single hole and top double holes in the rear inboard bracket. Put the bolts through the front side of the bracket so the flange nuts are on the back side to allow clearance for the truck frame. Torque the bolts to 19 LB FT.
All 5/16" fasteners (5/16-18 x 1" hex bolts, washers, and serrated flange nuts) must be torqued to 19 LB FT.
The 3/8" black zinc-plated bolts (item #12) connecting the rear outboard and rear inboard cab mounting brackets must be torqued to 19 LB FT.
The manual instructs you to tighten the body mount bolts per the manufacturer's specifications. The manual does not provide specific torque values. Consult your vehicle's service manual or contact the vehicle manufacturer for the correct torque specification.
Due to excessive thread locker in the body mount bolt area on 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra, use caution when removing the body mount bolts to reduce the risk of causing damage to the threaded inserts inside the vehicle. Take your time and apply steady pressure to avoid stripping the threads.
The rubber cushion washer (item #8) must be recessed approximately 3/16" into the end of the load reaction stud. This ensures proper seating and load distribution when the stud is inserted through the bracket and the rubber washer contacts the frame side wall.
The steps are universal, but fitment depends on the mounting brackets you purchase separately. Model 401113 brackets fit 1999 GM Silverado and Sierra Extended/Crew Cab Pickups. For other vehicles, verify bracket compatibility before purchase.
