This, combined with the classic styling of popular nerf bars, allows Regal 7 oval side steps to easily live up to their name. Each is set with full-width step pads that offer a non-skid surface for ultimate comfort and safety. They are also capped on each end with contoured end caps, giving them a professional look and added protection against small rocks and road debris. Both the step pads and end caps are factory-installed and securely bolted in place. To make sure these deluxe side steps maintain their classy appearance, we construct them from stainless steel. This gives them the durability to outlast rust through every season of the year, and the strength to be offer reliable footing with every climb. They are available in a high-polish stainless steel finish for a bright, eye-catching shine or a durable black powder coat for a tough, no-nonsense accent. When it comes to our Regal 7 oval side steps, we don't trust anyone else to build them with uncompromising quality. We design each one for a vehicle-specific fit. This particular set of side steps is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 1500, 2500 HD or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD or 3500 HD (see application information to verify vehicle fitment). They install using a 3" wide channel on the bottom side and high-strength steel brackets with a durable black powder coat finish (NOTE: The mounting brackets for these steps are included but shipped separately).

Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.

The REGAL 7 oval steps are universal applications. They are designed to attach to mounting brackets via support mounting plates and do not require vehicle-specific modifications. However, you must use brackets appropriate for your vehicle.
The three models differ in step length. Model 477078 is 76 inches, model 477088 is 86 inches, and model 477098 is 96 inches. Each model includes left and right step assemblies (part numbers 552059, 552060, 552061, and 552062 respectively).
The steps are pre-assembled from the factory. The serial number label is located on the front inside driver's side step assembly. You only need to attach the pre-assembled step to the mounting brackets.
First, install the mounting brackets to your vehicle following the bracket-specific instructions. Then attach the step assembly: (1) Set the step on the mounting brackets. (2) Slide each support mounting plate (item #9) inside the oval step and above each bracket. (3) Attach using 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolts, washers, and serrated flange nuts (items #10, #11, #12). (4) Set the step plate in the correct position and tighten all fasteners to 19 LB FT.
Follow these steps: (1) Attach the top of the mounting brackets (items #1 and #2) to the vehicle as shown in the instructions. (2) Insert 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts (item #7) into the upper holes in the rocker panel (unless your vehicle has threaded inserts). (3) Attach the top of the brackets with 5/16-18 x 1.0 screws and flat washers (items #5 and #4), hand tightened only. (4) Install the black M8-1.25 screw (item #3) and washer (item #4), place pinch weld support bracket (item #8) above the pinch weld, and install M8 flange nut (item #6). (5) Tighten all fasteners to 19 LB FT. Note: If your vehicle has threaded inserts in the rocker panels, use black M8 x 30mm screws (item #3) instead of the 5/16-18 x 1.0 screws.
Some vehicles come with threaded inserts already installed in the rocker panels. If your vehicle has these inserts, you do not need to install the 5/16" multi-thread U-nuts (item #7). Instead, use black M8 x 30mm screws (item #3) in place of the 5/16-18 x 1.0 screws when attaching the top of the brackets. Check your rocker panels before assembly to determine which fasteners you need.
All 5/16" fasteners must be torqued to 19 LB FT. This applies to the hex bolts, washers, and serrated flange nuts that attach the step assembly to the mounting brackets, as well as the fasteners that attach the mounting brackets to the vehicle.
Use 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolts (item #10), flat washers (item #11), and serrated flange nuts (item #12). Eight fastener sets are included in the step assembly parts list. Each fastener must be torqued to 19 LB FT.
