This, combined with the classic styling of popular nerf bars, allows Regal 7 oval side steps to easily live up to their name. Each is set with full-width step pads that offer a non-skid surface for ultimate comfort and safety. They are also capped on each end with contoured end caps, giving them a professional look and added protection against small rocks and road debris. Both the step pads and end caps are factory-installed and securely bolted in place. To make sure these deluxe side steps maintain their classy appearance, we construct them from stainless steel. This gives them the durability to outlast rust through every season of the year, and the strength to be offer reliable footing with every climb. They are available in a high-polish stainless steel finish for a bright, eye-catching shine or a durable black powder coat for a tough, no-nonsense accent. When it comes to our Regal 7 oval side steps, we don't trust anyone else to build them with uncompromising quality. We design each one for a vehicle-specific fit. This particular set of side steps is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 1500, 1500 HD, 2500 HD, 3500 or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 1500, 1500 HD, 2500 HD, 3500 or 3500 HD (see application information to verify vehicle fitment). They install using a 3" wide channel on the bottom side and high-strength steel brackets with a durable black powder coat finish (NOTE: The mounting brackets for these steps are included but shipped separately).

Yes, the Model 401113 step brackets are designed for 1999 GM Silverado & Sierra Extended and Crew Cab pickups. If you have a 1500 model pickup, you must also attach bracket item #14 (90-degree, 3-hole bracket) to brackets items #1 and #2 in order to use the load reaction stud.
The REGAL 7 Oval Steps are available in three lengths: 76 inches (model 477078), 86 inches (model 477088), and 96 inches (model 477098). The 96-inch model comes as a left-hand and right-hand pair.
Yes, the step is pre-assembled from the factory. The serial number label is located on the front inside driver's side step assembly.
For each step attachment point, you receive one 5/16-18 x 1 inch black stainless steel hex bolt (item #10), one 5/16 inch flat washer (item #11), and one 5/16-18 serrated flange nut (item #12). The manual specifies 16 of each fastener are included in the service parts list.
1. Set the step on the mounting brackets. 2. Slide each support mounting plate (item #9) inside the oval step and above each bracket. 3. Using the supplied 5/16-18 x 1 inch black stainless steel hex bolt, washer, and serrated flange nut (items #10, #11, #12), attach the step assembly, support mounting plate, and mounting bracket. 4. Set the step plate in the correct position and tighten all fasteners.
Torque all 5/16 inch fasteners to 19 LB FT (foot-pounds).
1. On the short threaded end of the load reaction stud (item #11), install a black 3/8 inch serrated flange nut (item #10) backwards to the bottom of the thread. 2. Then install a black 3/8 inch flat washer (item #9) and rubber cushion washer (item #8) tight up against the serrated flange nut. The end of the stud must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16 inch. 3. On the long threaded end of the stud, install a black 3/8 inch serrated flange nut (item #10) backwards to near the bottom of the threads.
Remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts one side of the vehicle at a time. Install the front mounting bracket (items #1 & #2) to the front cab mount and leave fasteners finger tight. Install the center mounting bracket (items #3 & #4) to the center cab mount and leave fasteners finger tight. Install the rear inboard mounting bracket (item #7) and washer (item #13) to the rear cab mount and leave fasteners finger tight. For Extended Cab only: attach the rear outboard bracket (items #5 & #6) to the rear inboard bracket using 3/8 inch bolts, washers, and serrated flange nuts, torqued to 19 LB FT. For Crew Cab only: attach the rear outboard bracket (items #5 & #6) to the rear inboard bracket using 3/8 inch bolts, washers, and serrated flange nuts, torqued to 19 LB FT, but use different hole positions. Finally, tighten all body mount bolts per manufacturer's specifications.
Both configurations attach the rear outboard bracket (items #5 & #6) to the rear inboard bracket (item #7) using 3/8 inch bolts, washers, and serrated flange nuts, torqued to 19 LB FT. The difference is in which holes are used: Extended Cab uses the bottom single hole and bottom double holes in the rear inboard bracket. Crew Cab uses the bottom single hole and top double holes in the rear inboard bracket. In both cases, bolts go through the front side of the bracket so flange nuts are on the back side for frame clearance.
Torque the 3/8 inch bolts to 19 LB FT.
Yes. If you are mounting the steps on a 1500 model pickup, you must attach bracket item #14 (90-degree, 3-hole bracket) to brackets items #1 and #2 in order to use the load reaction stud.
Due to excessive thread locker in the body mount bolt area on 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra, use caution when removing the body mount bolts to reduce the risk of causing damage to the threaded inserts inside the vehicle.
Insert the stud from the inboard side of the bracket through the lowest hole in the bent flange that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame. Install a black flange nut (item #10) on the outboard end of the stud finger tight only.
The 401113 bracket package includes: front mounting brackets (items #1 & #2), center mounting brackets (items #3 & #4), rear outboard mounting brackets (items #5 & #6), rear inboard mounting brackets (item #7), rubber washers (item #8), flat washers (item #9), serrated flange nuts (item #10), double-ended studs (item #11), 3/8 inch bolts (item #12), flat washers (item #13), and 90-degree brackets for 1500 models (item #14). Additional fasteners for step attachment are also included (items #15, #16, #17).
