This, combined with the classic styling of popular nerf bars, allows Regal 7 oval side steps to easily live up to their name. Each is set with full-width step pads that offer a non-skid surface for ultimate comfort and safety. They are also capped on each end with contoured end caps, giving them a professional look and added protection against small rocks and road debris. Both the step pads and end caps are factory-installed and securely bolted in place. To make sure these deluxe side steps maintain their classy appearance, we construct them from stainless steel. This gives them the durability to outlast rust through every season of the year, and the strength to be offer reliable footing with every climb. They are available in a high-polish stainless steel finish for a bright, eye-catching shine or a durable black powder coat for a tough, no-nonsense accent. When it comes to our Regal 7 oval side steps, we don't trust anyone else to build them with uncompromising quality. We design each one for a vehicle-specific fit. This particular set of side steps is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 2500 HD or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500 HD or 3500 HD (see application information to verify vehicle fitment). They install using a 3" wide channel on the bottom side and high-strength steel brackets with a durable black powder coat finish (NOTE: The mounting brackets for these steps are included but shipped separately).

1. On the short threaded end of the load reaction stud (item #12), install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (item #11) backwards to the bottom of the thread. 2. Install a 3/8" flat washer (item #10) and rubber cushion washer (item #9) tight against the serrated flange nut. The end of the stud must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". 3. On the long threaded end of the stud, install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (item #12) backwards near the bottom of the threads.
Insert the stud from the inboard (frame) side through the lowest hole in the bent flange of the bracket that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame. Install a 3/8" serrated flange nut (item #11) on the outboard end of the stud finger tight only at this stage. The stud will be fully tightened in Step 7.
Pre-assemble the front bracket (items #1, 3, 14) using three 3/8"-16 × 1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washer, and 3/8" flange nuts (items #10, 11, 13), torqued to 19 LB FT. Then install the front mounting bracket (items #1, 3) to the front body mount, leaving fasteners finger tight until all brackets are positioned.
Install the center mounting bracket (item #4) to the center body mount as shown in the bracket instructions, leaving fasteners finger tight until all brackets are positioned.
1. Install the rear inboard mounting bracket (item #8) and washer (item #15) to the rear body mount, leaving fasteners finger tight. 2. Attach the rear outboard mounting bracket (item #6) to the rear inboard mounting bracket (item #8) using three 3/8"-16 × 1.0" screws, 3/8" flat washers, and 3/8" flange nuts (items #13, 10, 11), torqued to 19 LB FT. The rear outboard bracket must be mounted to the back side (towards the rear of the vehicle) of the rear inboard bracket. Use the correct holes as shown in the bracket instructions; there is a difference between double cab and crew cab applications.
The rear outboard mounting bracket (item #6) must be mounted to the back side of the rear inboard mounting bracket (item #8), towards the rear of the vehicle. The correct holes differ between double cab and crew cab applications; refer to the bracket instructions (FIG. 2 and 3) for your specific cab type.
Torque all 3/8" fasteners to 19 LB FT. This applies to the front bracket pre-assembly (Step 2), rear bracket assembly (Step 5.4), and load reaction stud fasteners (Step 7).
