They are the largest oval nerf bars on the market, featuring a patented design, non-skid step pads and a sleek nerf bar styling. Built on the idea that a deluxe ride needs a deluxe entrance, these 7" ovals have a width comparable to some of the largest running boards available. This, combined with the classic styling of popular nerf bars, allows Regal 7 oval side steps to easily live up to their name. Each is set with full-width step pads that offer a non-skid surface for ultimate comfort and safety. They are also capped on each end with contoured end caps, giving them a professional look and added protection against small rocks and road debris. Both the step pads and end caps are factory-installed and securely bolted in place. To make sure these deluxe side steps maintain their classy appearance, we construct them from stainless steel. This gives them the durability to outlast rust through every season of the year, and the strength to be offer reliable footing with every climb. They are available in a high-polish stainless steel finish for a bright, eye-catching shine or a durable black powder coat for a tough, no-nonsense accent. When it comes to our Regal 7 oval side steps, we don't trust anyone else to build them with uncompromising quality. We design each one for a vehicle-specific fit. This particular set of side steps is designed to fit specific years of the Chevy Silverado 1500, 1500 HD, 2500 HD, 3500 or 3500 HD and GMC Sierra 1500, 1500 HD, 2500 HD, 3500 or 3500 HD (see application information to verify vehicle fitment). They install using a 3" wide channel on the bottom side and high-strength steel brackets with a durable black powder coat finish (NOTE: The mounting brackets for these steps are included but shipped separately).

Step products are the largest part of the catalog and the range is unusually deep, because the right step depends on the vehicle's ride height, the width of the rocker panel and how often people get in and out. The O-Mega II six-inch oval steps give a wide, flat standing surface in polished stainless or black powder coat, while the Regal 7 seven-inch oval steps go wider still for full-size crew cabs and lifted trucks. The broader running board and side bar range covers round tube, oval and boxed profiles across cab configurations, with treads positioned at the door openings where they are used.
Grille guards protect the front end against impacts, brush and road debris, built in tubular stainless or steel with model-specific brackets that tie into factory frame mounting points. Because the fit is engineered per vehicle, installation is a bolt-on job that does not require drilling or cutting on most applications.

The REGAL 7 Oval Steps are designed for universal applications and can be used with any mounting bracket system. However, the steps themselves are boards only and must be attached to vehicle-specific mounting brackets. The Model 401113 brackets are specifically designed for 1999 GM Silverado and Sierra Extended/Crew Cab Pickups. You must use the appropriate bracket package for your vehicle.
The three models differ in length: 477078 is 76 inches, 477088 is 86 inches, and 477098 is 96 inches. Each model comes as a left and right pair (LH/RH), except the 96-inch model which is ordered as separate left (552061) and right (552062) components.
Yes, but with a modification. If you are mounting the steps on a 1500 model pickup, you must attach bracket item #14 (90-degree, 3-hole bracket) to brackets items #1 and #2 in order to use the load reaction stud. This additional bracket is included in the parts list.
The step assembly includes 5/16-18 x 1" black stainless steel hex bolts (item #10), flat washers (item #11), and serrated flange nuts (item #12). Eight support mounting plates (item #9) are also included. The exact quantity of fasteners needed depends on the number of mounting points on your bracket system.
The bracket package includes: 6 rubber washers (item #8, 0.354 ID × 1.00 OD × 0.75 thick), 12 flat washers 3/8" (item #9), 24 serrated flange nuts 3/8-16 (item #10), 6 double-ended studs 3/8-16 × 4.50" (item #11), 6 bolts 3/8-16 × 1.00" (item #12), 2 flat washers 0.59 ID × 1.06 OD (item #13), 2 ninety-degree brackets with 3 holes (item #14), 2 hex head cap screws 5/16-18 × 1.00" (item #15), 2 serrated flange nuts 5/16-18 (item #16), and 2 flat washers 5/16" (item #17).
Yes, the step is pre-assembled from the factory. The serial number label is located on the front inside of the driver's side step assembly. You do not need to assemble the step itself; you only need to attach it to the mounting brackets.
Yes. You must remove the factory front, center, and rear body mount bolts (one side of the vehicle at a time) and install the mounting brackets in their place. Note: On 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra models, use caution when removing body mount bolts because excessive thread locker is present in the body mount bolt area, which can damage the threaded inserts inside the vehicle.
1. Assemble the load reaction studs with hardware (steps 2.1–2.2). 2. Attach the stud assemblies to the body mounting brackets (step 3). 3. Remove factory body mount bolts one side at a time. 4. Install the front mounting brackets (items #1 & #2) finger tight. 5. Install the center mounting brackets (items #3 & #4) finger tight. 6. Install the rear inboard bracket (item #7) and washer (item #13) finger tight. 7. For Extended Cab only: attach rear outboard brackets (items #5 & #6) using bottom single and bottom double holes. For Crew Cab only: use bottom single and top double holes. Torque these bolts to 19 lb-ft. 8. Finally, tighten all body mount bolts per manufacturer specifications.
1. Set the step on the mounting brackets. 2. Slide each support mounting plate (item #9) inside the oval step and above each bracket. 3. Using the supplied 5/16-18 × 1" black stainless steel hex bolt (item #10), washer (item #11), and serrated flange nut (item #12), attach the step assembly, support mounting plate, and mounting bracket. 4. Set the step plate in the correct position. 5. Tighten all fasteners and torque all 5/16" fasteners to 19 lb-ft.
Leave fasteners finger tight during the initial bracket installation steps. Specifically, the front mounting brackets (step 4.1), center mounting brackets (step 4.2), and rear inboard bracket (step 4.3) should be left finger tight. Only the rear outboard bracket bolts (step 4.3.1 or 4.3.2, depending on cab style) are torqued to 19 lb-ft during bracket assembly. All body mount bolts are tightened last per manufacturer specifications after the brackets are positioned.
1. On the short threaded end of the load reaction stud (item #11), install a black 3/8" serrated flange nut (item #10) backwards to the bottom of the thread. 2. Install a black 3/8" flat washer (item #9) and rubber cushion washer (item #8) tight against the serrated flange nut. The end of the stud must be recessed in the rubber washer approximately 3/16". 3. On the long threaded end of the stud, install a black 3/8" serrated flange nut (item #10) backwards to near the bottom of the threads.
Insert the stud from the inboard side of the bracket through the lowest hole in the bent flange that will allow the rubber washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame. Install a black flange nut (item #10) on the outboard end of the stud finger tight only. Do not fully tighten at this stage.
Yes. For Extended Cab only (step 4.3.1): use the bottom single hole and bottom double holes in the rear inboard bracket. For Crew Cab only (step 4.3.2): use the bottom single hole and top double holes in the rear inboard bracket. In both cases, put the bolts through the front side of the bracket so the flange nuts are on the back side to allow clearance for the truck frame. Torque the bolts to 19 lb-ft.
Torque all 5/16" fasteners to 19 lb-ft. This applies to the hex bolts (item #10) that attach the step assembly to the mounting brackets.
Torque the 3/8" black zinc plated bolts (item #12) that attach the rear outboard cab mounting brackets (items #5 & #6) to the rear inboard cab mounting bracket (item #7) to 19 lb-ft.
The manual states to tighten the body mount bolts per manufacturer specifications but does not provide a specific torque value. You must consult the vehicle manufacturer's service manual or specifications for the correct torque value for your specific vehicle model and year.
Use caution when removing the body mount bolts on 2010+ GM Silverado/Sierra models because excessive thread locker is present in the body mount bolt area. Removing the bolts carelessly can damage the threaded inserts inside the vehicle. Work slowly and carefully to avoid stripping or damaging the inserts.
The rubber cushion washer (item #8) must be recessed approximately 3/16" into the stud end to ensure proper load distribution and seating against the frame. This recess allows the washer to seat firmly against the side wall of the frame and maintain proper tension in the assembly.
The steps are universal boards that work with any mounting bracket. However, you must use the correct bracket package for your vehicle. Model 401113 brackets fit 1999 GM Silverado and Sierra Extended/Crew Cab Pickups. For other vehicles, you need the appropriate bracket system.
