Warranty: Limited Lifetime Warranty (One-Year Finish, One-Year Parts)
Finish: BRIGHT ALUMINUM
Material: Aluminum
Part Type: TRANSFER TANK
UWS transfer tanks offer the perfect solution for transporting chemicals, solutions and other non-flammable liquids to your next jobsite. Each tank features corrosion-resistant aluminum construction, a commercial-grade ventilation cap and an optimal fit and capacity to suit your truck and lifestyle. The heavy-duty .125" thick aluminum alloy construction provides the tank with structural strength, while keeping it lightweight and resilient to corrosion. The commercial-grade vented cap allows for proper ventilation of the liquid contents, and the tank is also equipped with commercial-grade mounting flanges for maximum strength in the truck bed. This particular transfer tank is a combination unit, meaning it has a built-in truck tool box to keep your equipment and valuables safe, well-organized and easily accessible whenever needed. The tool box is constructed from extra-thick aluminum for increased structural strength and is welded together into a single piece. The lid features a patented RigidCore foam-filled design, sandwiched between two aluminum plates. This greatly increases lid strength and helps prevent bending and warping. The locking mechanism of this transfer tank tool box provides excellent security for your items, featuring stainless steel, key-operated paddle handles. Stainless steel construction supplies the locks with long-lasting corrosion resistance, and they feature an internal connecting rod that allows the lid to be opened from either side of the truck. UWS transfer tanks are available in multiple sizes to accommodate any job. Like all UWS truck tool boxes, this product is proudly assembled right here in the USA for style and long-lasting dependability. NOTE: This tank is DOT-compliant for transporting Class 3 combustible fuels only, such as diesel.

UWS designs and builds heavy-duty truck tool boxes and storage for tradespeople and truck owners. The line covers crossover and side-mount boxes, chest boxes, underbody boxes, transfer tanks and dog boxes. Every aluminum box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, with construction aimed at job-site abuse, road vibration and daily use.
UWS is a leading manufacturer and designer of truck tool boxes and truck accessories, and a Lippert brand. The company's focus is narrow and deliberate: storage that stands up to being opened and slammed shut dozens of times a day, loaded past what looks reasonable, and left outdoors in whatever weather the job brings. Its customers are electricians, plumbers, contractors, farmers, outdoorsmen and truck owners who treat a pickup as a working tool rather than transport.
The catalog covers the full range of bed storage. Crossover boxes sit across the bed behind the cab in single-lid, gull-wing, secure-lock and low-profile styles, so there is a fit whether the priority is capacity, rear visibility or working under a tonneau. Side-mount boxes mount along the bed rails and keep the bed floor free for cargo, while underbody boxes tuck beneath the frame rails of service bodies and flatbeds.
Beyond the bed, UWS makes portable chest boxes that move between vehicles and the shop, transfer tanks and combination tank-and-toolbox units for crews working away from fuel supply, and insulated, ventilated dog boxes for hunters and handlers.
Manufacturing sits at the centre of the brand's identity. Every UWS aluminum tool box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, by tradespeople with decades of experience, and the company's Rooted in Trades initiative is built around that connection to skilled manual work. Boxes use heavy-gauge aluminum, continuous welds at the seams, weather stripping to seal against rain and dust, and locking systems intended to resist tampering. The practical result is storage that keeps tools dry, organized and where they were left.

The kit includes one transfer tank, one filler neck and cap, one 3/8" drain plug, and one key (supplied only with combo models). Hardware for installation is not included and must be purchased separately.
The tank is DOT-compliant for transporting Class 3 combustible fuels only, such as diesel. It is not approved for flammable fuels like gasoline and must never be used as an auxiliary fuel tank or connected to a vehicle's fuel system.
No. The tank is DOT-compliant for Class 3 combustible fuels such as diesel only. It is not approved for flammable fuels like gasoline, explosives, solvents, propane, acetylene or other hazardous materials. Using it for these purposes creates a danger of explosion.
You will need: a drill, 3/8" drill bit, ratchet, socket set, tape measure, and marker. You will also need to purchase your own hardware (hex bolts, flat washers, lock washers, and nuts) to secure the tank to the truck bed.
Yes. Before drilling into your truck bed, you must check underneath the vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct any brake lines, fuel lines, electrical wires, or fuel tanks. Fasteners near the fuel tank must not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or damage during a collision.
You must drill 3/8" holes in the truck bed floor at the locations marked by the mounting brackets. Use the mounting brackets as a guide to mark the hole positions before drilling.
No. Do not cut, weld or drill into the tank. Doing so could result in serious injury or death due to the danger of explosion.
Push the tank up to the truck cab and center it side-to-side. Make sure the tank is fully supported by the truck bed floor before using the mounting brackets as a guide to mark the hole locations.
If any holes fall between the ribs on the truck bed floor, spacers will be required between the floor and mounting bracket for proper installation. These spacers are not included and must be obtained separately.
For each hole, you need one hex bolt, two flat washers, one lock washer, and one nut. Do not over tighten the hardware. Treat or seal all fasteners and exposed metal in any drilled holes to prevent corrosion.
Yes. Before securing the tank to the truck bed, ensure the tank is level.
Torque specifications depend on bolt size: M6/1/4" bolt = 3 ft-lbs; M8/5/16" bolt = 7 ft-lbs; M10/3/8" bolt = 16 ft-lbs; M12/7/16" bolt = 28 ft-lbs; 1/2" bolt = 28 ft-lbs. These are general guidelines; if purchasing hardware, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware.
Yes. Make sure the transfer tank and pump are grounded to avoid static charge. Static build-up can result in explosion.
You must use an automatic shut-off nozzle (not provided) and a fuel filter (not provided). The tank must be vented at all times and the vent cap must be removed with caution. Do not pressurize the tank.
No. The tank is not approved for use as an auxiliary fuel tank and should never be connected to a vehicle's fuel system. It is for transfer and storage of diesel fuel only.
The tank must be lifted only when empty.
Yes. This product can reduce the driver's ability to clearly see roadways, vehicular or pedestrian traffic and other objects through the rear and side windows of the vehicle, which may cause an accident. Extra precaution should be taken when driving a vehicle with this product.
No. Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended capacity.
Ensure all knobs, bolts, screws, straps and locks are firmly secured. Periodically re-tighten and inspect all components for signs of wear, corrosion and fatigue. With the transfer tank installed, periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.
Mild automotive detergent may be used to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or other similar products that may damage the finish. For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Treat or seal all fasteners and exposed metal in any drilled holes to prevent corrosion.
No. The tank is not compatible with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) or other corrosive materials.
No. The tank is for private use only and is not intended to be used commercially.
