Warranty: Limited Lifetime Warranty (One-Year Finish, One-Year Parts)
Finish: BRIGHT ALUMINUM
Material: Aluminum
Part Type: TRANSFER TANK
UWS transfer tanks offer the perfect solution for transporting chemicals, solutions and other non-flammable liquids to your next jobsite. Each tank features corrosion-resistant aluminum construction, a commercial-grade ventilation cap and an optimal fit and capacity to suit your truck and lifestyle. The heavy-duty .125" thick aluminum alloy construction provides the tank with structural strength, while keeping it lightweight and resilient to corrosion. The commercial-grade vented cap allows for proper ventilation of the liquid contents, and the tank is also equipped with commercial-grade mounting flanges for maximum strength in the truck bed. This particular transfer tank is a combination unit, meaning it has a built-in truck tool box to keep your equipment and valuables safe, well-organized and easily accessible whenever needed. The tool box is constructed from extra-thick aluminum for increased structural strength and is welded together into a single piece. The lid features a patented RigidCore foam-filled design, sandwiched between two aluminum plates. This greatly increases lid strength and helps prevent bending and warping. The locking mechanism of this transfer tank tool box provides excellent security for your items, featuring stainless steel, key-operated paddle handles. Stainless steel construction supplies the locks with long-lasting corrosion resistance, and they feature an internal connecting rod that allows the lid to be opened from either side of the truck. UWS transfer tanks are available in multiple sizes to accommodate any job. Like all UWS truck tool boxes, this product is proudly assembled right here in the USA for style and long-lasting dependability. NOTE: This tank is DOT-compliant for transporting Class 3 combustible fuels only, such as diesel.

UWS designs and builds heavy-duty truck tool boxes and storage for tradespeople and truck owners. The line covers crossover and side-mount boxes, chest boxes, underbody boxes, transfer tanks and dog boxes. Every aluminum box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, with construction aimed at job-site abuse, road vibration and daily use.
UWS is a leading manufacturer and designer of truck tool boxes and truck accessories, and a Lippert brand. The company's focus is narrow and deliberate: storage that stands up to being opened and slammed shut dozens of times a day, loaded past what looks reasonable, and left outdoors in whatever weather the job brings. Its customers are electricians, plumbers, contractors, farmers, outdoorsmen and truck owners who treat a pickup as a working tool rather than transport.
The catalog covers the full range of bed storage. Crossover boxes sit across the bed behind the cab in single-lid, gull-wing, secure-lock and low-profile styles, so there is a fit whether the priority is capacity, rear visibility or working under a tonneau. Side-mount boxes mount along the bed rails and keep the bed floor free for cargo, while underbody boxes tuck beneath the frame rails of service bodies and flatbeds.
Beyond the bed, UWS makes portable chest boxes that move between vehicles and the shop, transfer tanks and combination tank-and-toolbox units for crews working away from fuel supply, and insulated, ventilated dog boxes for hunters and handlers.
Manufacturing sits at the centre of the brand's identity. Every UWS aluminum tool box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, by tradespeople with decades of experience, and the company's Rooted in Trades initiative is built around that connection to skilled manual work. Boxes use heavy-gauge aluminum, continuous welds at the seams, weather stripping to seal against rain and dust, and locking systems intended to resist tampering. The practical result is storage that keeps tools dry, organized and where they were left.

UWS | Tough. Reliable.
The kit includes one transfer tank, one filler neck and cap, one 3/8" drain plug, and one key (supplied only with combo models). Hardware such as hex bolts, washers, lock washers, and nuts must be purchased separately.
The tank is DOT-compliant for transporting Class 3 combustible fuels only, such as diesel. It is not approved for flammables such as gasoline, explosives, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, propane tanks, acetylene tanks, cutting torches, or any other materials it was not designed for. Do not use as an auxiliary fuel tank or connect it to a vehicle's fuel system.
No. The tank is for private use only and is not intended to be used commercially.
The manual does not specify which vehicles, years, makes, models, bed lengths, or cab styles are compatible. Contact CURT Group at 877-287-8634 or consult your dealer before purchasing to confirm fitment for your specific vehicle.
The tank must not interfere with factory-installed safety equipment. Before drilling, check under your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut, or obstruct any brake lines, fuel lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks, or other components. Precaution must be taken that all fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or other damage during a collision.
No. The tank is not compatible with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) or other corrosive materials.
You will need: a drill, a 3/8" drill bit, a ratchet, a socket set, a tape measure, and a marker. Proper tools will improve the quality of installation and reduce the time required.
Hardware is not included with the tank. You must purchase your own. For each mounting hole, you will need one hex bolt, two flat washers, one lock washer, and one nut. The manual provides torque specifications for common bolt sizes: 1/4" (3 ft-lbs), 5/16" (7 ft-lbs), 3/8" (16 ft-lbs), 7/16" (20 ft-lbs), and 1/2" (28 ft-lbs). If purchasing hardware, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware.
The manual does not state whether spacers are included. If any mounting holes fall between the ribs on the truck bed floor, spacers will be required between the floor and mounting bracket for proper installation. Contact CURT Group at 877-287-8634 to confirm whether spacers are included or must be purchased separately.
The manual references mounting brackets as part of the installation process but does not explicitly state whether they are included. Contact CURT Group at 877-287-8634 to confirm.
The installation is rated as 'Easy' difficulty. However, you must have the ability to drill 3/8" holes in your truck bed and safely lift and position the tank. If you are not comfortable performing these tasks, consult your dealer or a professional installer.
The manual does not specify whether a second person is required. The tank must be lifted only when empty and must be fully supported by the truck bed floor during installation. Depending on the tank's weight and size, you may need assistance. Contact CURT Group at 877-287-8634 for guidance.
This is a critical safety step.
