UWS drawer truck tool boxes provide unbeatable storage and security for your small tools and equipment in your truck, van, trailer or even on a workbench. Each box features five sliding drawers, a corrosion-resistant aluminum construction and a stainless steel locking system -- all to keep your equipment and valuables safe and easily accessible whenever needed. The tool box itself is constructed from extra-thick aluminum for increased structural strength. The tub is welded together into a single piece for weather resistance, and the door features a stainless steel, key-operated T-handle. Stainless steel construction supplies the lock with long-lasting corrosion resistance, and the door also has a MicroSeal gasket, blocking moisture, dust and insects from getting inside and damaging your valuables. The drawers of this tool box are constructed from commercial-grade, precision-injected plastic for strength and smooth operation. They slide on stainless steel ball bearings and sliders for excellent corrosion resistance. UWS drawer tool boxes are available in multiple sizes to accommodate any storage need. Like all UWS tool boxes, this product is proudly assembled right here in the USA for style and long-lasting dependability.

UWS designs and builds heavy-duty truck tool boxes and storage for tradespeople and truck owners. The line covers crossover and side-mount boxes, chest boxes, underbody boxes, transfer tanks and dog boxes. Every aluminum box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, with construction aimed at job-site abuse, road vibration and daily use.
UWS is a leading manufacturer and designer of truck tool boxes and truck accessories, and a Lippert brand. The company's focus is narrow and deliberate: storage that stands up to being opened and slammed shut dozens of times a day, loaded past what looks reasonable, and left outdoors in whatever weather the job brings. Its customers are electricians, plumbers, contractors, farmers, outdoorsmen and truck owners who treat a pickup as a working tool rather than transport.
The catalog covers the full range of bed storage. Crossover boxes sit across the bed behind the cab in single-lid, gull-wing, secure-lock and low-profile styles, so there is a fit whether the priority is capacity, rear visibility or working under a tonneau. Side-mount boxes mount along the bed rails and keep the bed floor free for cargo, while underbody boxes tuck beneath the frame rails of service bodies and flatbeds.
Beyond the bed, UWS makes portable chest boxes that move between vehicles and the shop, transfer tanks and combination tank-and-toolbox units for crews working away from fuel supply, and insulated, ventilated dog boxes for hunters and handlers.
Manufacturing sits at the centre of the brand's identity. Every UWS aluminum tool box is designed, fabricated and welded in Perry, Florida, by tradespeople with decades of experience, and the company's Rooted in Trades initiative is built around that connection to skilled manual work. Boxes use heavy-gauge aluminum, continuous welds at the seams, weather stripping to seal against rain and dust, and locking systems intended to resist tampering. The practical result is storage that keeps tools dry, organized and where they were left.

UWS | Tough. Reliable.
The kit includes one drawer truck tool box, one key, four hex bolts (1/4" x 1-1/4"), eight flat washers (1/4"), and four nylock nuts (1/4"). The bolts, washers and nuts are used to secure the tool box to the truck bed mounting surface.
The manual does not specify which vehicles or truck bed styles this tool box fits. Contact CURT Group at 877.287.8634 or consult your dealer to confirm compatibility with your specific vehicle before purchasing.
You will need a drill, drill bit set (including a 1/4" bit), ratchet, socket set, and tape measure. The manual rates the installation difficulty as Easy.
Before drilling, check under your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct any brake or fuel fluid lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks, or other components. Precaution must be taken that all fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or other damage during a collision.
1. Remove the bottom two drawers from the tool box and place it on the mounting surface. 2. Mark the mounting surface using the guide holes on the inside of the tool box. 3. Drill 1/4" holes and align them with the tool box holes. 4. Insert one 1/4" bolt and flat washer on the inside of the tool box and secure with one flat washer and nylock nut on the underside of the mounting surface for each mounting hole. 5. Tighten all hardware. 6. Re-install the bottom two drawer slides.
You must drill 1/4" holes in the truck bed mounting surface to align with the guide holes on the inside of the tool box.
The general torque specification for a 1/4" bolt is 3 ft-lbs. However, the manual notes that these are general guidelines. If you are purchasing replacement hardware, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware. Always refer to the torque specifications when securing hardware during installation.
Do not use this product for storing or transporting flammables, explosives, hazardous materials or hazardous waste, such as containers of gasoline, solvents, gun powder, dynamite, propane tanks, acetylene tanks and cutting torches. Danger of explosion.
Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended capacity. The manual does not specify a maximum load capacity for the tool box itself; refer to your vehicle's documentation for load limits.
Ensure all knobs, bolts, screws, straps and locks are firmly secured before every trip. Periodically re-tighten and inspect all components for signs of wear, corrosion and fatigue. With the tool box installed, periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.
For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Mild automotive detergent may be used to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or other similar products that may damage the finish. To protect your investment, treat or seal all fasteners and exposed metal in any holes drilled in the vehicle to prevent corrosion.
Yes. Remove the bottom two drawers from the tool box before placing it on the mounting surface. After drilling and securing all mounting bolts, re-install the bottom two drawer slides.
Insert one 1/4" bolt and flat washer on the inside of the tool box. On the underside of the mounting surface (under the truck bed), secure it with one flat washer and one nylock nut. Repeat this for each of the four mounting holes, then tighten all hardware.
No. Do not modify this product. Use it only for the purposes for which it was designed. Consult your dealer if you have any questions regarding the installation, operation, use and limits of the product.
No. Do not interfere with factory-installed safety equipment. Ensure the mounting location does not obstruct any factory safety systems, brake lines, fuel lines, electrical wires or fuel tanks.
The manual does not specify vehicle compatibility. Contact CURT Group at 877.287.8634 or your dealer to confirm fitment before purchasing.
