Each box features five sliding drawers, a corrosion-resistant aluminum construction and a stainless steel locking system -- all to keep your equipment and valuables safe and easily accessible whenever needed. The tool box itself is constructed from extra-thick aluminum for increased structural strength. The tub is welded together into a single piece for weather resistance, and the door features a stainless steel, key-operated T-handle. Stainless steel construction supplies the lock with long-lasting corrosion resistance, and the door also has a MicroSeal gasket, blocking moisture, dust and insects from getting inside and damaging your valuables. The drawers of this tool box are constructed from commercial-grade, precision-injected plastic for strength and smooth operation. The kit includes one drawer truck tool box, one key, four hex bolts (1/4" x 1-1/4"), eight flat washers (1/4"), and four nylock nuts (1/4"). The bottom two drawers are removable for installation access.
You will need a drill, drill bit set, ratchet, socket set, and tape measure. The installation is rated as Easy difficulty.
Before drilling into your truck bed, check underneath the vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct any brake lines, fuel lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks or other components. Take precaution that all fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or other damage during a collision.
Drill 1/4" holes. Use the guide holes on the inside of the tool box to mark the mounting surface, then align the drilled holes with the tool box holes before fastening.
1. Remove the bottom two drawers from the tool box. 2. Place the tool box on the mounting surface. 3. Mark the mounting surface using the guide holes on the inside of the tool box. 4. Drill 1/4" holes and align them with the tool box holes. 5. Insert one 1/4" bolt and flat washer on the inside of the tool box and secure with one flat washer and nylock nut on the underside of the mounting surface. 6. Repeat for each mounting hole. 7. Tighten all hardware. 8. Re-install the bottom two drawer slides.
The general guideline for 1/4" bolts is 3 ft-lbs. However, the manual notes that if purchasing hardware separately, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware, as they may differ from general guidelines.
Do not use this product for storing or transporting flammables, explosives, hazardous materials or hazardous waste, such as containers of gasoline, solvents, gun powder, dynamite, propane tanks, acetylene tanks and cutting torches. Danger of explosion.
Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended capacity. The manual does not specify a product-specific capacity rating; refer to your vehicle's documentation for load limits.
Ensure all knobs, bolts, screws, straps and locks are firmly secured before every trip. Periodically re-tighten and inspect all components for signs of wear, corrosion and fatigue. With the tool box installed, periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.
Use mild automotive detergent to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or other similar products that may damage the finish. For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Treat or seal all fasteners and exposed metal in any holes drilled in the vehicle to prevent corrosion.
The manual recommends periodic re-tightening and inspection of all components. Ensure all knobs, bolts, screws, straps and locks are firmly secured before every trip, and periodically re-tighten and inspect all components for signs of wear, corrosion and fatigue.

Yes. Remove the bottom two drawers from the tool box before placing it on the mounting surface. After drilling and fastening the mounting bolts, re-install the bottom two drawer slides.
