Assembled right here in the USA, this box is designed for a custom fit, integrating with the layout of your UTV and providing functional storage and organization of your tools and other cargo. The box features extra-thick, one-piece aluminum construction, our patented RigidCore foam-filled lid and stainless steel locking handles. This particular UTV tool box comes with vehicle-specific mounting hardware and offers a custom fit for certain years of the Can-Am Defender (see application information to verify compatibility). It measures 59-3/4" x 12-1/4" x 10-1/4". The tub is made with 0.058" thick aluminum, welded together into a single piece for added strength. It is also shielded in a durable black powder coat finish for maximum corrosion resistance. The lid of this UTV tool box features our patented RigidCore foam-filled design. This strengthens the lid against warping and promotes smooth opening and closing. It also features self-opening gas struts for convenient access when your hands are full. The lid is finished with a MicroSeal gasket around the edges to keep out moisture and debris. For dependable security and long-lasting operation, the UWS UTV tool box is equipped with stainless steel locking handles. These key-operated handles deter theft of your tools and other items, and allow for easy access with simple lift paddles. The UTV-59CA kit includes: 2 turnbuckle brackets, 4 turnbuckles, 4 hex bolts (5/16" - 18 x 1"), 8 flat washers (5/16"), and 4 nylock nuts (5/16"). The tool box itself is not included and must be purchased separately.
You will need: a 1/2" socket, ratchet, 1/2" wrench, and socket extension. These are the only tools required for installation.
Yes. The manual states "With assistance, carefully place the toolbox on UTV" in Step 3. A second person is recommended to safely position the tool box during installation.
1. Place flat washers on hex bolts and insert bolts through the center slots in the toolbox bottom into the turnbuckle brackets. 2. Add flat washers and nylock nuts to the bolts inside the toolbox and tighten all four bolts. 3. With assistance, place the toolbox on the UTV. 4. Attach turnbuckles to the brackets and UTV bed tie-down points at opposite angles (two per side), then tighten all turnbuckles until secure.
Place two turnbuckles on each side of the toolbox at opposite angles. This cross-bracing pattern ensures the toolbox is evenly secured to the UTV bed tie-down points.
The 5/16" bolts should be torqued to 7 ft-lbs. according to the torque specifications table in the manual.
No. The manual includes a caution: "Do not over-tighten turnbuckles. Damage to UTV or toolbox may occur." Tighten turnbuckles only until the toolbox is secure.

Use only mild automotive detergent for cleaning. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes, or abrasive wax products, as these may damage the finish.

Yes. Tape (not included) can be placed over openings in the bottom of the toolbox to prevent dust from entering in dusty conditions. This is optional and depends on your operating environment.
