A UWS steel transfer tank is the perfect way to outfit your truck for working on the farm, the construction site or other tough jobs. It allows you to safely and effectively transport non-flammable liquids -- such as chemicals, pesticides, diesel fuel or even water -- to other vehicles and equipment. This 100-gallon steel L-shaped transfer tank is constructed from 14-gauge steel, welded into a single piece to eliminate leaks. It features a lockable, commercial-grade, vented cap for easy filling and a drain plug for convenient emptying. It is also equipped with lifting hooks on the back for easier moving in and out of the bed of your truck, as well as welded mounting tabs for secure installation (mounting hardware not included; remove all liquid contents prior to tank relocation). All UWS steel transfer tanks are built for safety, featuring internal baffles to resist sloshing and promote an even flow of liquids. They are also 100% pressure-tested for safety. The kit includes the transfer tank, filler neck and cap, a 3/8" drain plug, and a key (supplied only with combo models). Hardware such as hex bolts, flat washers, lock washers and nuts must be purchased separately.
The tank is DOT-compliant for transporting Class 3 combustible fuels only, such as diesel. It is not approved for flammable fuels such as gasoline and should never be connected to a vehicle's fuel system or used as an auxiliary fuel tank. Do not use for storing or transporting explosives, hazardous materials, propane tanks, acetylene tanks, cutting torches or other hazardous waste.
Yes. You must drill 3/8" holes in the truck bed floor using the mounting brackets as a guide. Before drilling, check under your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct any brake or fuel fluid lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks or other components.
Required tools are: drill, 3/8" drill bit, ratchet, socket set, tape measure and marker.
You must purchase hex bolts, flat washers, lock washers and nuts for each mounting hole. The manual does not specify the quantity or size of bolts required, so consult your dealer or the product documentation for your specific tank model.

Push the tank up to the truck cab and center it side-to-side. Make sure the tank is fully supported by the truck bed floor. Before securing, ensure the tank is level.
If any holes fall between the ribs on the truck bed floor, spacers will be required between the floor and mounting bracket for proper installation. Spacers are not included and must be purchased separately.
Secure the mounting brackets to the truck bed with a hex bolt, two flat washers, one lock washer and one nut in each hole. Do not over tighten the hardware. Ensure the tank is level before securing.

For SAE bolts: 1/4" bolt 3 ft-lbs, 5/16" bolt 7 ft-lbs, 3/8" bolt 16 ft-lbs, 7/16" bolt 20 ft-lbs, 1/2" bolt 28 ft-lbs. If purchasing hardware, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware.
The tank must be vented at all times and the vent cap must be removed with caution. The tank and pump must be grounded to avoid static charge, as static build-up can result in explosion. Do not pressurize the tank. Must use an automatic shut-off nozzle (not provided) and a fuel filter (not provided). Tank must be empty when lifted. Never exceed the vehicle manufacturer's recommended capacity. Do not interfere with factory-installed safety equipment.

With the transfer tank installed, periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.
For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Mild automotive detergent may be used to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or other similar products that may damage the finish.
The tank is not compatible with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) or other corrosive materials. Do not use for storing or transporting flammables, explosives, hazardous materials or hazardous waste such as gasoline, solvents, gun powder, dynamite, propane tanks, acetylene tanks or cutting torches.
