The hammerhead-style transfer tank is engineered to be the universal transfer tank for all full-size trucks. It features a unique narrowed base that fits between the wheel wells in the truck bed, even on short-bed pickup trucks (verify fitment using the product dimensions). This innovative L-shaped transfer tank is ideal for safely and effectively transporting diesel and other non-flammable liquids. It is constructed with 14-gauge, pressure-tested steel and has a durable white powder coat finish. The hammerhead-style transfer tank is also equipped with a lockable, vented cap that allows for easy filling and provides extra security when your truck is left unattended. It comes with internal baffles to promote a smooth flow of liquids and to help prevent sloshing. For easier movement and installation, the tank comes with integrated mounting tabs and lifting hooks. Finally, to easily drain the tank whenever necessary, a drain plug is integrated into the base. NOTE: Will not fit short-bed trucks with a gooseneck hitch installed (75-gallon transfer tank recommended).

The tank is DOT-compliant for transporting Class 3 combustible fuels only, such as diesel. It is not approved for transportation of flammable fuels such as gasoline and should never be connected to a vehicle's fuel system or used as an auxiliary fuel tank.
No. Do not use this product for storing or transporting flammables, explosives, hazardous materials or hazardous waste, such as containers of gasoline, solvents, gun powder, dynamite, propane tanks, acetylene tanks and cutting torches. Doing so creates a danger of explosion.
You will need: a drill, 3/8" drill bit, ratchet, socket set, tape measure, and marker. Hardware such as hex bolts, flat washers, lock washers and nuts must be purchased separately.
No. Hardware is not included. You must purchase your own hardware to install the transfer tank. Installation requires hex bolts, flat washers, lock washers and nuts for each mounting hole.
You must use an automatic shut-off nozzle (not provided) and a fuel filter (not provided). The tank must be vented at all times and must be grounded to avoid static charge buildup.
Yes. Before drilling into your truck bed, check under your vehicle to ensure the drill location does not puncture, cut or obstruct any brake or fuel fluid lines, electrical wires, fuel tanks, etc. Precaution must be taken that all fasteners near the fuel tank do not create the possibility of fuel tank puncture or other damage during a collision.
Step 1: Push the tank up to the truck cab and center it side-to-side, ensuring it is fully supported by the truck bed floor. Use the mounting brackets as a guide to mark holes, then remove the tank and drill 3/8" holes in the marked locations. Step 2: Place the tank back in the bed and align the drilled holes with the mounting brackets. Ensure the tank is level before securing. Secure the mounting brackets with a hex bolt, two flat washers, one lock washer and one nut in each hole. Do not over tighten. Attach the filler neck and cap. Step 3: Perform periodic inspections to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.

General torque specifications are: M6 bolt 3 ft-lbs, M8 bolt 7 ft-lbs, M10 bolt 16 ft-lbs, M12 bolt 28 ft-lbs. For SAE bolts: 1/4" bolt 3 ft-lbs, 5/16" bolt 7 ft-lbs, 3/8" bolt 16 ft-lbs, 7/16" bolt 20 ft-lbs, 1/2" bolt 28 ft-lbs. These are general guidelines; if purchasing hardware, use the torque specifications provided with that hardware. Do not over tighten the hardware.
The transfer tank and pump must be grounded to avoid static charge buildup, which can result in explosion. However, the manual does not provide specific grounding procedures or methods. Consult the manufacturer or a qualified installer for proper grounding installation.

Ensure the tank is level before final tightening. Ensure all knobs, bolts, screws, straps and locks are firmly secured before every trip. Periodically re-tighten and inspect all components for signs of wear, corrosion and fatigue. With the transfer tank installed, periodic inspections should be performed to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.
Mild automotive detergent may be used to clean the product. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or other similar products that may damage the finish. For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs on the finish.
