Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

The Draw-tite Class 1 Trailer Hitch, 1-1/4" Square Receiver, Black for Select Honda Fit 24776 (Part #DT24776) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
Yes, this hitch (part numbers 77153, 24776, 60847) is designed for Honda Fit and Honda Fit Sport vehicles. The installation instructions are specific to these models.
The maximum gross trailer weight is 2000 LB (908 kg) and the maximum tongue weight is 200 LB (90.8 kg). Do not exceed the lower of your vehicle manufacturer's towing rating or these limits.
This hitch requires a ½" pin and clip.
You will need wrenches in the following sizes: 12mm, 13mm, and 11/16". No drill bits are required for this installation.
No, drilling is not required. The installation uses existing holes in the vehicle's tow hook bracket and crossmember.
Yes. Step 1 requires you to remove three M8 bolts from the skid shield on the underside of the vehicle trunk pan. However, do not discard the skid shield—it will be reinstalled in step 6 as part of the final assembly.
1. Insert the 3/8 U-bolt through the tow hook. 2. Raise the hitch into position, aligning the U-bolt with the holes in the tow hook bracket of the receiver. 3. Loosely install the 3/8 flat washers, 3/8 lock washers, and 3/8 hex nuts to the tow hook attachment. 4. Align the vehicle forward slots in the receiver with the holes in the vehicle crossmember. 5. Align the slots in the skid shield with the slots in the receiver and install the 3/8 conical toothed washers and M8 hex bolts. 6. Tighten all fasteners to the required torque specifications.
The block is placed between the skid shield and the vehicle trunk pan at the vehicle rearward skid shield attachment point. It is used as a spacer before installing the 3/8 conical toothed washer and M8 hex bolt at that location.
All M8 CL8.8 fasteners must be tightened with a torque wrench to 20 Lb.-Ft. (27 N·M).
All 3/8-16 GR5 fasteners must be tightened with a torque wrench to 30 Lb.-Ft. (41 N·M).
Fasteners should be left loose during initial assembly. Step 3 specifies to "loosely install" the 3/8 flat washers, 3/8 lock washers, and 3/8 hex nuts to the tow hook attachment. All fasteners are tightened to their final torque specifications only in step 6, after all components are aligned.
The hitch includes: 1× 3/8-16 U-bolt, 2× 3/8 flat washers, 2× 3/8 lock washers, 2× 3/8 hex nuts, 3× M8-1.25 × 40 GR 8.8 hex bolts, 3× 3/8 conical toothed washers, and 1× 1/4 × 1.00 × 1.50 block. The three M8 bolts from the original skid shield are reused.
The drawbar must be used in the rise position only. Do not use it in any other position.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. If the hitch or ball becomes damaged, it should be removed and replaced immediately.
Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual does not specify an exact interval, but regular inspection is essential for safe towing.
The drawbar kit (part 3593) is listed separately and is sold separately from the hitch. You will need to purchase it if you require a drawbar.
