Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Part number 24954 fits 2016-current Honda Civic Sedan, 2016-current Honda Civic Coupe, and 2017-current Honda Civic Hatchback. For the most up-to-date information regarding specific application years and trim levels, visit the manufacturer's website at www.horizonglobal.com.
The 24954 is a weight-carrying hitch with a maximum gross trailer weight of 2000 lb (908 kg) and maximum tongue weight of 200 lb (90 kg). Do not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these limits.
The fastener kit 24954F includes 8 hex bolts (M8 × 1.25 × 30 CL8.8) and 8 conical washers (3/8"). The drawbar is sold separately as kit 3593. The hitch receiver itself is the main component; all other hardware and fasteners are provided.
Required tools are: ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, sockets (13 mm, 12 mm, 10 mm, 5 mm), Allen wrench, flat-head screwdriver, small Phillips screwdriver, 6-inch socket extension, tape measure, marker, drill with small drill bit, utility knife, and die grinder. Professional installation is recommended if you are not comfortable performing the work yourself.
Yes. The installation requires removal of the factory bumper. You must remove 8 bolts holding the bumper in place and return these fasteners to the vehicle owner. The bumper is then trimmed with a die grinder before the hitch is installed.
Yes. The bumper fascia must be removed before hitch installation and reinstalled afterward. Removal involves releasing plastic rivets from the bumper supports, removing Phillips screws from the wheel well (approximately 3-4 per side), removing hex screws from under the rear hatch, loosening taillight bolts, and carefully unclipping tabs and cleats. Any wiring harness at the fascia must be disconnected.
Yes. A drill with a small bit is required to create a radius on the fascia cutout. The fascia must be trimmed with a 2.50 × 4.00 inch cutout (or 2.50 × 4.125 inches on 2022 and current models), and the drill is used to create the radius at the corners of this cutout. This is a permanent modification to the vehicle's bumper fascia.
Yes. A die grinder is required to remove material from the bumper as shown in Figure 2 on both sides of the vehicle. This trimming is necessary to allow the hitch and bumper to fit together properly. This is a permanent modification to the factory bumper.
All M8 CL8.8 fasteners must be tightened with a torque wrench to 20 lb-ft (27 N·m). Proper torque is essential to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
The conical washer teeth side must be placed against the hitch. There are 8 conical washers (3/8") included in the fastener kit 24954F, one for each of the 8 hex bolts.
The 8 hex bolts (M8 × 1.25 × 30 CL8.8) with conical washers attach the hitch to existing weld nuts located on the opposite side of the end panel. The hitch is raised into position and fastened using the provided hardware.
The fascia cutout is 2.50 × 4.00 inches for 2016-2021 models. For 2022 and current models, the cutout is 2.50 × 4.125 inches. The cutout is measured from the centerline of the fascia marked in step 1. A drill is used to create a radius at the corners of the cutout.
Always wear safety glasses during installation. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle. Do not use a torch to cut access or attachment holes. Do not cut, weld, or modify the receiver. After installation, periodically check that all fasteners are tight and the hitch is securely mounted to the vehicle.
The drawbar must be used in the RISE position only. The drawbar is sold separately as kit 3593.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. Periodically verify that the hitch is securely mounted to the vehicle. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.

Load the trailer heavier in front. Do not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or 2000 lb GVWR / 200 lb tongue weight. Always wear your seatbelt. Slow down when towing and never exceed any posted speed limit. If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do not apply your brakes and do not speed up.

Yes. Both the factory bumper and bumper fascia must be removed. The bumper is trimmed with a die grinder, and the fascia is trimmed with a drill to create a 2.50 × 4.00 inch cutout (2.50 × 4.125 inches on 2022+ models).
All M8 CL8.8 fasteners must be torqued to 20 lb-ft (27 N·m) using a torque wrench.
The drawbar must be used in the RISE position only. The drawbar is sold separately as kit 3593.
Check all fasteners periodically to ensure they remain tight. If fasteners are found to be loose, retighten them using a torque wrench to 20 lb-ft (27 N·m) for all M8 CL8.8 bolts. Proper torque is essential to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
A hitch or ball that has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not continue to use a damaged hitch for towing.
Verify that the fascia cutout dimensions are correct: 2.50 × 4.00 inches for 2016-2021 models or 2.50 × 4.125 inches for 2022 and current models. Ensure the drill was used to create a radius at the corners of the cutout. Check that the bumper has been properly trimmed with the die grinder as shown in Figure 2 on both sides. If interference persists, additional material may need to be removed from the bumper or fascia.
The plastic rivets are released by first pulling out the center post of the rivet approximately 1/4 inch. The rivet can then be pushed out by hand. If the center post does not pull out easily, ensure you are pulling straight out and not at an angle. Once the center post is removed, the rivet body should push out easily.
