Locate the taillight wiring harness on both driver and passenger sides. The harness will have a connection point matching the ends of the T-Connector. Separate the factory connector carefully without breaking the locking tabs. Ensure all connector surfaces are clean and free of dirt. Insert the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle wiring connectors on the driver's side and lock into place. Route the T-Connector end with green/red wires to the passenger's side behind the panels and along the threshold, then repeat the connection process. Ensure connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place.

The T-Connector has the following wires: yellow wire (driver's side taillight connection), green/red wires (passenger's side taillight connection), white wire (ground connection to vehicle frame or cross member), black 12 gauge wire (power from converter box), and red wire (also from converter box). The black and red wires from the converter box are connected together using a yellow butt connector, then the black wire is routed to the battery. The white wire is secured to a ground point using an eyelet and screw.
From inside the vehicle, connect the black 12 gauge wire and red wire from the T-Connector black box using the supplied yellow butt connector. You have two routing options: (1) Route the black wire through a grommet and along the exterior frame, or (2) Follow the existing wiring along the thresholds into the engine compartment up to the battery. Avoid areas that may pinch or break the wire. If routing through a grommet and along the exterior, be careful to avoid hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank, or any other points that may pinch or break the wire.
The T-Connector uses a 10 amp fuse. The fuse holder is yellow and is provided with the kit. After disconnecting the negative battery cable, remove the fuse from the yellow fuse holder if not already removed. Cut the fuse holder wire, attach the ring terminal, and secure it to the vehicle's positive (+) battery cable. Connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12 gauge wire using the yellow butt connector. After all connections are complete, reconnect the negative battery cable and install the 10 amp fuse into the fuse holder.

When separating the factory taillight connectors, be careful not to break the locking tabs. Ensure all connector surfaces are clean and free of dirt before inserting the T-Connector ends. Check that: (1) the T-Connector ends are fully inserted into the vehicle's taillight connectors with locking tabs in place, (2) the black and red wires from the converter box are connected with the yellow butt connector, (3) the fuse holder is properly connected to the black wire and the positive battery cable, (4) the 10 amp fuse is installed in the fuse holder, (5) the negative battery cable is reconnected, and (6) the white ground wire is securely fastened to the vehicle frame. For the initial test, reset the vehicle electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition.
