These dependable custom hitches are manufactured for 2010-2014 Volkswagen Golf, 2005-2014 Volkswagen Jetta and attach to your vehicle?s frame or bumper for a sleek, clean appearance. Each hitch also has a 1-1/4 inch square receiver tube opening so you can easily attach accessories like a bike rack or cargo carrier, or a utility trailer. DRAW-TITE Class 1 custom trailer hitches come complete with all the mounting hardware needed for installation and are backed by a nationwide lifetime limited warranty. So, whether you are headed out to the campground and need a place for the cooler, taking the bikes to hit the trails in the park, or you are tackling a DIY project (maybe some landscaping or a home repair), choose DRAW-TITE and travel with confidence knowing your setup is connected with the security only DRAW-TITE can provide. DRAW-TITE: North America?s Favorite Hitch.

Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Yes, this T-Connector is designed for the Volkswagen Jetta Sedan. The manual provides complete installation instructions specific to this vehicle model.
The T-Connector is a trailer wiring interface that connects to your vehicle's taillight wiring harness. It includes a black box-module that must be mounted inside the vehicle to enable trailer lighting functions.
You will need: trim panel remover, 10 mm socket and ratchet or 10 mm wrench, drill with 3/32" bit, 1/4" socket, wire crimpers, wire cutters, Phillips head screwdriver, and a test-probe.
Yes. You must disconnect the vehicle's negative (-) battery cable before connecting the power wire to the positive battery terminal. This is done in step 7 before attaching the ring terminal and fuse holder to the positive battery cable.
The black box-module must be mounted ONLY in the interior of the vehicle on a flat, out-of-the-way surface that is free of moisture and high enough to avoid direct contact with water or liquid. It must never be mounted on the exterior or in areas exposed to elements or moisture, as this could cause serious damage to the vehicle and module.
1. Open the trunk and remove the threshold panel. Partially remove the felt trunk liner on both sides to expose the taillight wiring harness. 2. Locate the taillight wiring harness on both driver and passenger sides and separate the connectors carefully without breaking the locking tabs. 3. On the driver's side, insert the T-Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle connectors and lock into place. 4. Route the T-Connector end with the green wire under the felt trunk liner to the passenger side and repeat the connection. Ensure all connector surfaces are clean and all locking tabs are fully engaged.
Yes. You must drill a 3/32" hole on the driver's side near the taillight connectors to secure the white ground wire with an eyelet and screw. Before drilling, verify what is behind the surface to avoid damage to the vehicle or personal injury. Do not drill into any exposed surfaces.
The T-Connector uses the following wires: yellow wire (driver's side taillight connection), green wire (passenger's side taillight connection), white wire (ground connection to vehicle frame), and red 12 gauge wire (power input from T-Connector). A black 12 gauge wire is provided to connect the red power wire to the vehicle's positive battery terminal via a fuse holder.
The red 12 gauge power wire from the T-Connector is connected to a black 12 gauge wire. This black wire is routed along the exterior frame or following existing wiring along the thresholds into the engine compartment up to the battery, avoiding areas that may pinch or break the wire. The black wire connects to the vehicle's positive battery terminal through a yellow fuse holder containing a 15 amp fuse.
The fuse rating is 15 amps. The fuse is installed in a yellow fuse holder that connects the black 12 gauge power wire to the vehicle's positive battery terminal.
Locate the grey 12-pin connector on the T-Connector harness and insert it into the mating connector on the black box-module. Ensure the mating surfaces match, all connector surfaces are clean and free of dirt, and the connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place. Be careful not to damage the locking tabs.
Do not exceed the lower of the vehicle manufacturer's rating or: maximum 2 stop/turn lights per side (4.2 amps total) or maximum tail lights (7.5 amps). Overloading the circuit can cause fires. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for additional information.
All connections must be complete before testing. To test: 1. Reset the vehicle electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition. 2. Re-insert the key and turn it to the proper position. 3. Test and verify the installation with a test light or by connecting an actual trailer. This confirms all connections are working properly.
Store the 4-flat connector in the rear cargo area (trunk or rear cargo area) when not in use.
After all connections are made and tested: 1. Replace the trunk threshold panel, floor coverings, and felt trunk liner that were removed during installation. 2. Secure the remainder of the T-Connector harness with the cable ties provided to prevent damage, rattling, and to avoid areas that would pinch, cut, or melt the wire.
Before drilling the 3/32" hole for the ground wire, you must verify what is behind the surface to avoid damage to the vehicle and/or personal injury. Do not drill into any exposed surfaces. This caution applies to all drilling during installation.
Locate a suitable grounding point on the driver's side near the taillight connectors. Drill a 3/32" hole and secure the white wire with an eyelet using the screw provided. Do not drill into any exposed surfaces.
Route the black 12 gauge power wire along the exterior frame or follow existing wiring along the thresholds into the engine compartment. Avoid areas that may pinch or break the wire. The wire must reach the vehicle's positive battery terminal where it connects through the yellow fuse holder.
The yellow butt connector is used to join the black 12 gauge power wire to the fuse holder wire. This connection is made after the ring terminal is attached to the vehicle's positive battery cable, creating the complete power circuit from the battery through the fuse to the T-Connector.
The T-Connector (118572-037) is designed for the Volkswagen Jetta Sedan.
