Lift the hitch into position, passenger side first, placing the crosstube over the tail pipe and rotating it to the outside of the frame rail. 3. Raise the driver's side of the hitch so it is on the outside of the frame rails and in front of the bulkhead. 4. Attach remaining fasteners as shown. 5. Push the hitch toward the rear of the vehicle. 6. Tighten all fasteners to the required torque specification. 7. Reattach the rubber muffler hanger.

The T-Connector uses four wire colours: yellow (driver-side taillight connection), green (passenger-side taillight connection), white (ground wire), black (12 gauge power wire from black box), and red (from black box). The black and red wires from the black box connect together using a yellow butt connector, then the black wire connects to the battery circuit via a fused connection.
From inside the vehicle, connect the black 12 gauge wire and red wire from the T-Connector black box using the supplied yellow butt connector. Then route the black wire either through a grommet and along the exterior frame, or follow the existing wiring along the thresholds into the engine compartment up to the battery. Avoid areas that may pinch or break the wire. If routing through a grommet and along the exterior, carefully avoid hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank, or any other points that may pinch or break the wire.
The T-Connector uses a 10 amp fuse. The fuse is installed in the yellow fuse holder provided. After disconnecting the negative battery cable, cut the fuse holder wire, attach the ring terminal to the vehicle's positive (+) battery cable, and connect the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12 gauge wire using the yellow butt connector provided.
