All of our custom hitches are designed for a vehicle-specific fit, manufactured with pride, finished for industry-leading rust resistance and tested to rigorous SAE J684 standards for safety. This class 1 trailer hitch and ball mount combination is designed for a custom fit on select years of the Subaru Impreza (see application info to verify fitment). The hitch integrates with the vehicle's frame and provides a useful and dependable 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver. The receiver is perfect for attaching the included ball mount and towing a small trailer, or for adding cargo space with a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, bike rack or other accessory. This particular class 1 hitch is rated for 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 200 pounds tongue weight (never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). The ball mount included with this trailer hitch quickly and easily installs into the hitch receiver and has a 3/4" trailer ball hole (trailer ball not included). It can be mounted in the rise or drop position to promote level towing. Like all CURT custom hitches, this class 1 hitch is protected with our co-cured finishing process. It is descaled for a smooth surface, immersed in liquid A-coat for rust resistance inside and out, covered with a durable black powder coat and finally co-cured for an industry-leading rust, chip and UV-resistant shield. No matter where you're headed or which season of the year you’re towing in, this CURT hitch is equipped for long-lasting resilience to the elements. It features an open-back receiver for easy cleaning, and it comes with all the hardware necessary for the installation.

The CURT 11465 is designed for use with ballmount #45521. Euro mount options are available: #45571 (1 7/8" ball) and #45572 (2" ball).
Required tools are: ratchet, 3/4" and 11/16" sockets, die grinder, torque wrench, and safety glasses. Two people may be required to ease installation.
The kit includes: 2× carriage bolts 1/2-13 x 1 1/2, 2× carriage bolts 7/16-14 x 1 1/2, 2× CM-SP6 spacers (.250 x 1.00 x 3.00" square hole), 2× CM-SP11 spacers (.250 x 1.00 x 2.50" square hole), 2× CM-SP16 spacers (.250 x 1.50 x 2.00" round hole), 2× hex flange nuts HFN 1213, 2× hex flange nuts 7/16-14, 2× 7/16" fishwire, and 2× 1/2" fishwire.
No drilling is required. However, hole enlargement is necessary to accommodate the spacers and bolts during installation.
Hole enlargement means widening the existing access holes in the frame rails as necessary to allow the spacers and bolts to pass through. A die grinder is the recommended tool for this task. The manual instructs to enlarge access holes as necessary during the fishwire installation step.
1. Remove the 4 plugs in the frame rails and return them to the vehicle owner (leave center plugs in). 2. Fishwire the 7/16" carriage bolts and CM-SP11 spacers into position first, then reverse fishwire the 1/2" carriage bolts and CM-SP6 spacers into position afterward (enlarge access holes as necessary). 3. Raise the hitch to the frame, aligning the holes in the hitch with the bolts. Use 1.50" x 2.00" spacers (CM-SP16) to level the hitch as necessary. Install remaining hardware. 4. Torque all 7/16" fasteners to 70 lb-ft and all 1/2" fasteners to 110 lb-ft.

Spacers are used to level the hitch on the vehicle. The kit includes three types: CM-SP6 (.250 x 1.00 x 3.00" square hole), CM-SP11 (.250 x 1.00 x 2.50" square hole), and CM-SP16 (.250 x 1.50 x 2.00" round hole). The CM-SP16 spacers are specifically used during step 3 to level the hitch as necessary when raising it to the frame.

All non-trailer loads (wheel-less loads) applied to this product must be supported by 18050 stabilizing straps. CURT recommends the use of 18050 stabilizing straps for all non-trailer loads. Failure to properly support non-trailer loads will void the product warranty.
Periodically check the receiver hitch to ensure all fasteners are tight and all structural components are sound. This ongoing inspection helps maintain the integrity and safety of the installation.
