These dependable custom hitches are manufactured for 2017-2023 Tesla 3 and attach to your vehicle?s frame or bumper for a sleek, clean appearance. DRAW-TITE Class 1 custom trailer hitches come complete with all the mounting hardware needed for installation and are backed by a nationwide lifetime limited warranty. So, whether you are headed out to the campground and need a place for the cooler, taking the bikes to hit the trails in the park, or you are tackling a DIY project (maybe some landscaping or a home repair), choose DRAW-TITE and travel with confidence knowing your setup is connected with the security only DRAW-TITE can provide. DRAW-TITE: North America?s Favorite Hitch.

Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Yes. The average installation time is 120 minutes for professional installers. If you do not feel comfortable performing this installation on your own or are in need of assistance, contact a professional installer.
Yes. Installation requires removal of the rear bumper fascia, taillights, wheel well liner, impact bar, and sensor to access the hitch mounting points. All removed components are reinstalled after the hitch is mounted.
The factory impact bar is removed using a 15mm socket to access the hitch mounting points. The impact bar nuts are saved and reused for hitch installation. The impact bar is then returned to the owner.
Yes. Both driver and passenger side taillights must be removed to access the trunk side panels and gain access to the hitch mounting area. Taillights are unplugged from their wiring harnesses and secured with 8mm nuts, then reinstalled after hitch installation.
The sensor on top of the impact bar is partially removed by taking out 5 screws with a 10mm socket. This allows the sensor to hang down and provides access to the impact bar base plates for hitch installation. The sensor screws are saved and the sensor is reinstalled after the hitch is mounted.
Yes. The wheel well liner on both driver and passenger sides must be loosened by removing 3 plastic rivets and 1 Torx screw inside the rear wheel fender on each side. This provides access to the rear fascia for removal.
The hitch is secured using 6 factory 10mm nuts. These nuts come from the factory impact bar mounting points and are reused to attach the hitch receiver.
All 10mm fasteners must be tightened to 38 Lb.-Ft. (52 N·M) using a torque wrench. Proper torque is required to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
The manual instructs to loosely tighten the factory nuts to the hitch first (Step 8), then tighten all 10mm fasteners with a torque wrench to 38 Lb.-Ft. (52 N·M) in Step 9. This two-stage process ensures proper alignment and final torque specification.
The rear underbody appearance panel is secured with 7 screws. On some models, an 8th screw is present. All screws must be removed to partially loosen the panel and gain access to the hitch mounting area.
The trim area is 1.50 inches (measured from centerline). This dimension is shown in Figure 2 and relates to the bottom panel removal area.
Yes. A bottom panel door must be removed using a flathead screwdriver to remove 2 screws, which provides access to the hitch mounting area. If your vehicle's rear fascia does not come with a bottom panel door as shown in Figure 2, consider obtaining one from the dealership.
Two (2) plastic covers must be dislodged from the bottom of the fascia and appearance panel using a flathead screwdriver before removing the 7 appearance panel screws.
Use plastic trim tools to remove the fascia starting at the outer edges near the wheel wells and gently pull the fascia away from the vehicle. Carefully set the fascia aside for reinstallation. Disconnect any wiring harness if present.
Two (2) plastic trunk stops on top of the taillights must be removed by turning them counterclockwise by hand. These are located inside the trunk above the taillights.
Each taillight is secured with 2 nuts using an 8mm socket. After removing the taillights, an additional 1 screw is removed using a 10mm socket. Both driver and passenger side taillights must be removed.
Five (5) screws secure the sensor to the top of the impact bar. These are removed using a 10mm socket and saved for later reinstallation.
The impact bar is secured with either 6 or 8 nuts depending on your vehicle model. These nuts are removed using a 15mm socket and saved for hitch installation.
Safety glasses must always be worn when installing the hitch. The manual also recommends observing safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wearing eye protection. Do not use a torch to cut access or attachment holes.
If excess sway occurs, take your foot off the gas pedal and hold the steering wheel as steady as possible. Do NOT apply your brakes and do NOT speed up.
No. Do NOT cut, weld, or modify this receiver. Modifications will compromise the structural integrity and safety of the hitch.
Load the trailer heavier in front. This helps maintain proper weight distribution and improves towing stability.
Slow down when towing and never exceed any posted speed limit. Always wear your seatbelt while towing.
Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. The manual emphasizes periodic inspection to ensure the hitch remains securely mounted to your vehicle.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. This protects the vehicle's interior from damage.
A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not attempt to repair a damaged hitch receiver.
No. The authorized drawbar kit (part number 3593) is sold separately. When using the drawbar, it must be used in the RISE position only.
The 25005 hitch includes a Limited Lifetime Warranty covering material defects in materials and workmanship, excluding ordinary wear and tear. The T-One® Connector is a vehicle towing connector that provides electrical connections between a tow vehicle and a trailer. It intercepts the vehicle's taillight wiring on both driver and passenger sides and routes power through a black box unit mounted in the trunk, allowing trailer lights to function when connected via the 4-flat connector.
The manual shows installation on a Tesla Model 3 as an example. For compatibility with your specific vehicle, contact the manufacturer or check the product fitment database, as the manual does not provide a complete vehicle compatibility list.
Required tools are: trim panel remover, Phillips head screwdriver, 8mm socket or wrench, drill with 3/32" drill bit, wire crimpers, wire cutters, and test probe. These tools are needed to remove interior panels, access wiring, drill the grounding hole, and test the installation.
The kit includes: double-sided tape for mounting the black box, cable ties for securing the harness, a white wire with eyelet and screw for grounding, a yellow fuse holder with 15 amp fuse, a yellow butt connector for connecting the power wire, and the T-One® Connector harness with yellow and green wire ends. The 4-flat connector should be stored in the rear cargo area when not in use.
Yes. Step 10 requires you to disconnect the vehicle's negative (-) battery cable before connecting the power wire to the positive battery terminal. After all connections are complete and the fuse is installed, you reconnect the negative battery cable in step 14.
Locate the panel below the windshield wipers and remove it to access the vehicle's battery. Be careful not to break any mounting tabs when removing this panel.
Open the trunk and pull back the felt liners on both driver and passenger sides to expose the taillight wiring connectors. On the driver's side, insert the T-One® Connector end with the yellow wire between the vehicle wiring connectors and lock into place, being careful not to damage the locking tabs. Repeat on the passenger's side with the green wire end. Ensure connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place.
Mount the black box on the driver's side of the trunk using the double-sided tape provided. Secure the remainder of the harness with the cable ties provided to prevent damage or rattling, being careful to avoid areas that would cut or pinch the wire.
Yes, drilling is required for the grounding connection. You must drill a 3/32" hole near the black box to secure the white ground wire using the eyelet and screw provided. However, you may use an existing ground stud instead if one is available. Before drilling, verify what is behind the surface to avoid damage to the vehicle or personal injury, and do not drill into any exposed surfaces. Clean dirt and rustproofing from the area before securing the ground wire.
Starting from the front of the vehicle, route the black 12 ga. wire rearward along the frame rail, avoiding hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank, or any other points that may pinch or break the wire. Locate the vent on the driver's side in the rear cargo area and route the wire through this vent from underneath up into the cargo area. The manual suggests using a fish wire through the vent to pull the power wire from underneath the vehicle for ease of installation.
The T-One® Connector uses a 15 amp fuse. The fuse holder is provided with the kit and is installed in step 10 by connecting the ring terminal to the vehicle's positive (+) battery cable, then connecting the other end of the fuse holder to the black 12 ga. wire using the yellow butt connector. The 15 amp fuse is installed in step 14 after all connections are complete.
The T-One® Connector uses four wire colors: yellow (driver's side taillight connector), green (passenger's side taillight connector), black (12 gauge power wire from battery), and white (ground wire). The yellow and green wires connect to the vehicle's taillight wiring connectors. The black wire connects to the vehicle's positive battery terminal via the fuse holder. The white wire connects to a ground point near the black box.
Always wear safety glasses during installation. Before drilling, verify what is behind any surface to avoid damage to the vehicle or personal injury. Do not drill into exposed surfaces. When routing the black power wire, avoid hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank, or any other points that may pinch or break the wire. Do not exceed the towing manufacturer's rating or the product's amperage ratings, as overloading circuits can cause fires. Read and follow all warnings and cautions printed on the tow vehicle's battery.
After installation is complete, test and verify the installation with a test light or trailer. For the initial test, reset the vehicle electrical system by temporarily removing the key from the ignition. All connections must be complete for the T-One® Connector to function properly.
Reinstall all plastic trim panels, threshold, floor covering, and other items that were removed during installation, being careful not to pinch or cut the wires. Store the 4-flat connector in the rear cargo area when not in use.
Yes, disconnect the negative battery cable before connecting the power wire to the positive terminal. Reconnect it after the fuse is installed.
15 amp fuse. Install it in the fuse holder after all connections are complete.
Do not exceed the lower of the towing manufacturer's rating (in your vehicle owner's manual) or the specific amperage ratings stated on the product. The manual does not specify the product's amperage rating.
