The kit includes: 2 air springs (part 46136), 2 spacers (09112), 15 feet of air line (20937), 6 zip ties (10466), 6 air line clamps (10638), 2 M8 flat washers (18501), 2 star washers (18411), 2 valve caps (21230), 4 5/16" hex nuts (21233), 2 5/16" flat rubber washers (21234), 1 tee fitting (21236), 2 Schrader valves (21455), 2 hose clamps (10555), 1 air line heat shield (09484), and 1 exhaust heat shield (10613).
Jack up the rear of the vehicle or raise it on a hoist. Support the frame with 2 safety stands. Lower the axle or raise the body of the vehicle until the springs are completely extended. This allows proper access to the coil springs for air spring insertion.
First, remove the black plastic cap from the barbed stem on the air spring and exhaust the air by rolling it up toward the stem. Replace the cap to hold its flat shape. Fold the air spring into a "hot dog bun shape." Insert the flattened end into the top opening of the coil spring with the stem at the bottom. Push the air spring down into the coil spring by hand or with a blunt instrument such as a spoon-type tire iron. When completely inserted, remove the cap and allow the air spring to assume its "as molded" shape, then push it up to the top of the coil spring.
Using pliers, slide an air line clamp (E) over the end of the air line. Route the air line through the spacer (B). Push the air line over the barbed stem of the air spring completely, then slide the clamp over the barbed stem area. Once installed, push the air spring to the bottom of the coil spring. Repeat for the opposite side.
On the passenger's (right) side, route the air line up, behind and to the center above the suspension crossmember and secure with a zip tie, leaving sufficient slack for suspension articulation. On the driver's (left) side, slide the air line heat shield over the air line where it exits the lower control arm, attach it to the crossmember with a zip tie, and route it up over the top of the crossmember to the center of the vehicle. Both air lines should meet at the center above the crossmember.
Single-path installation is recommended for vehicles with even weight distribution. It uses one tee fitting to supply both air springs from a single inflation valve. Dual-path installation is used when weight varies from side to side and unequal pressures are needed to level the load. In dual-path installation, the tee fitting is eliminated and separate air lines are routed for each air spring to individual Schrader valves.
Make clean, square cuts with a razor blade or hose cutter. Do not use scissors or wire cutters, as these will produce bad cuts that do not seal properly. Leave sufficient air line slack to prevent any strain on the fitting during axle motions.
Slide the air line clamp onto the air line. Push the air line and clamp over the barbed stem so that the air line covers all the barbs. Compress the ears on the air line clamp with pliers and slide it forward to fully cover the barbs.
Select a location for the Schrader valve that will be protected and accessible with an air hose. Recommended locations are: inside the fuel tank filler door, inside rear wheel wells, or in the license plate or rear bumper area. Drill a 5/16" (8mm) hole if necessary.
Drill a 5/16" (8mm) hole in the selected location. Install the air line on the Schrader valve first. The rubber washer (J) serves as an outside weather seal. Mount the valve with the flat washer, star washer, and rubber washer in the order shown in the diagram, securing with a hex nut and valve cap.
Attach the metal heat shield (O) to the exhaust using two hose clamps (M) where it is closest to the driver's (left) side air spring. Bend the heat shield so there is at least 1/2" (13mm) of dead air space between the shield and the exhaust.
After raising the suspension or lowering the body completely and removing the safety stands, inflate the air springs to 5 PSI (0.34BAR). This is the minimum recommended air pressure. Do not inflate beyond 35 PSI (2.4BAR).
Maintain at least 6 inches (152mm) clearance from the exhaust system to the air line to prevent the air line from melting. If a heat shield is included in the kit, install it. If there is no heat shield but one is required, contact Air Lift customer service at (800) 248-0892.

Inflate the air springs to 30 PSI (2BAR) and ensure there is at least 1/2" (13mm) clearance from anything that might rub against each air spring. Check the tire, brakes, frame, shock absorbers and brake cables for interference.

After 500 miles (800km), recheck all bolts for proper torque. This is part of the required maintenance to ensure the system remains secure.
After completing the clearance, leak, and heat tests, inflate the air springs to recommended driving pressures. Drive the vehicle 10 miles (16km) and recheck for clearance, loose fasteners and air leaks.

If the system develops an air leak, use a soapy water solution to check all air line connections and the inflation valve core before deflating and removing the air spring. After 500 miles, recheck all bolts for proper torque.
Use a spray bottle with dish soap/water solution to check all air line connections and the inflation valve core. Bubbles will form at the location of any leak. All leaks must be eliminated before the vehicle is road tested.
