Yes, on the driver's (left) side only. You must unbolt the emergency brake cable, remove the nut and cable bracket, and pull the cable loose from the frame. Keep the fasteners so you can reattach the bracket later. The cable will be repositioned through the upper bracket during installation.
Lower the suspension by one of three methods depending on your hoist type: (1) If using an axle contact hoist, place safety stands under the frame and lower the axle as needed. (2) If using a frame contact hoist, place safety stands under the axle and raise the frame as needed. (3) If using a jack supported by safety stands on the frame, use a floor jack to lower the axle. The goal is to create clearance to install the air spring unit.
Install the 90-degree air swivel fitting (elbow fitting) to the top of the air spring and tighten 1 1/2 turns using an open-end wrench. Tighten on the metal hex nut only and do not over-tighten. The fitting is precoated with sealant.
Tighten both the upper and lower brackets to the air spring to 15 lb.-ft. (20.3 Nm).
Tighten the upper bracket mounting hardware to 16 lb.-ft. (21.7 Nm). This applies to the carriage bolt through the jounce bumper hole on the driver's side and the bolt (G) on the passenger's side.
Tighten the axle strap nuts evenly to 16 lb.-ft. (21.7 Nm). The axle straps attach the lower bracket to the axle using washers (M) and nylon lock nuts (J).
Insert the carriage bolt (H) up through the jounce bumper hole so the bracket fits flush against the outside of the frame. Insert the existing emergency brake cable bolt through the frame and slot in the upper bracket. Install a large washer (K) over the bolt and push it against the upper bracket. Reinstall the emergency brake line bracket and finish by installing the OEM nut to the outside. Leave loose at this time until after raising the axle to normal ride height and aligning the brackets.
Use bolt (G), large washer (K) on the outside of the frame, washer (M) on the inside of the frame, and nylon lock nut (J) to attach the upper bracket to the existing hole on the side of the frame. Install nut (J) and washer (M) onto the carriage bolt that was inserted through the jounce bumper bracket hole.
After raising the axle or dropping the body to normal ride height, align the upper bracket forward or back, ensuring that the upper and lower brackets are lined up evenly with the air spring. Similarly, carefully move the lower bracket inward and outward to align it to the air springs and upper bracket. Proper alignment ensures the air spring operates correctly.
It may be necessary to slightly bend the brake lines so that they do not rub on the carriage bolts. This is a caution noted in the manual and should be done carefully to avoid damaging the brake lines.
First, choose locations for the Schrader valves and drill a 5/16" (8 mm) hole if necessary. Cut the air line in half using a razor blade or hose cutter, making clean, square cuts—do not use scissors or wire cutters. Use zip ties to secure the air line to fixed points along the chassis without pinching or kinking it. Leave at least 2" (51 mm) of slack to allow for movement, and maintain a minimum bend radius of 1" (25 mm). Install the Schrader valve in the chosen location using the provided washers and hex nuts.
The manual suggests three possible locations: (A) inside the fuel tank filler door, (B) inside rear wheel wells, or (C) license plate or rear bumper area. Choose a location that provides convenient access for inflation and pressure checks.

(5) Road test—drive 10 miles and recheck for clearance, loose fasteners, and air leaks. (6) Operating instructions—if professionally installed, the installer should review operating instructions with the owner.

If the system develops an air leak, use a soapy water solution to check all air line connections and the inflation valve core before deflating and removing the air spring. Do not exceed the vehicle's maximum gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) or payload rating.
