LoadLifter 5000 Leaf Spring Leveling Kit.
Air Lift adjustable air helper springs level your load, and give your truck, van, or SUV a safer, more comfortable ride. Air springs are easy to install between your existing springs and the vehicle frame. Just add air when towing or hauling a heavy load, and reduce air pressure when unloaded, they are fully adjustable for a great ride. Air Lift air springs eliminate sag, sway, and bottoming out. They are made with rugged, durable components for long, reliable service. LoadLifter 5000 kits are Air Lift's heaviest-rated kits for hauling or towing heavy loads. They have up to 5,000 pounds of leveling capacity, right up to the manufacturer's recommended Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, and are air adjustable from 5 to 100 PSI.

Air Lift Company has developed dependable air spring suspension products since our inception in 1949. Our original product, a rubber air spring inserted into a car’s factory coil spring, was created and patented in 1950. We’ve come a long way since 1949 and are proud to be a dedicated suspension specialist company.
Today, Air Lift load support products are sold worldwide and are engineered to fit over 540 vehicles. Our extensive product line offers air helper springs for trucks, RVs, SUVs, CUVs, and vans, as well as the most technologically advanced on-board air compressor systems for on-the-go air spring control.

The Air Lift LOADLIFTER 5000. 57213 (Part #BBCG57213) fits 2015-2026 Ford Transit-150 models. The 2026 model year is the last year covered by this part number. For newer models, check for an updated version.
The Air Lift LOADLIFTER 5000. 57213 (Part #BBCG57213) Refer to the included instructions for installation details. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
Kit 57213 is designed for Ford Transit (Single Rear Wheel) 2-Wheel Drive vehicles only. The kit is not compatible with dual rear wheel or 4-wheel drive versions. Confirm your vehicle matches these specifications before purchasing.
The LoadLifter 5000 provides up to 5,000 pounds (2,268 kg) of load-leveling support with air adjustability from 5–100 PSI (0.34–7 BAR). However, the installation does not alter your vehicle's gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) or payload. You must not exceed the maximum load limits specified in your vehicle's owner's manual and Safety Compliance Certification Label.
Required tools include: hoist or floor jacks, two safety stands, safety glasses, torque wrench, standard open-end combo wrenches, medium adjustable wrench, ratchet, metric and standard sockets, 6 mm hex wrench, 7/32" hex wrench, 5/16" drill bit (very sharp), heavy duty drill, hose cutter or razor blade, air compressor or compressed air source, and spray bottle with dish soap/water solution.
Yes. Removing the stock jounce bumpers from under the frame rails on both sides is a necessary step to install Kit 57213. The lower bracket will be nested over the jounce bumper strike plate after removal.
Raise the vehicle and support it using safety stands so that the axle can be safely dropped away from the frame. This clearance is necessary to position the air spring assembly between the axle and frame. The exact height depends on your vehicle's suspension geometry.
The M10-150 x 35 button-head screw (part O) that secures the upper frame bracket to the frame must be torqued to 30 lb.-ft. (41 Nm). Push the flange on the bracket up against the frame before torquing.
The 3/8"-24 x 7/8" flat-head screws (part H) that attach the air spring bracket to the air spring assembly must be torqued to no more than 20 lb.-ft. (27 Nm).
Once the air spring is parallel to the upper and lower brackets, torque the upper hardware to 15 lb.-ft. (20 Nm).
The axle clamp bar (part A) must be torqued evenly to 10 lb.-ft. (14 Nm) once the lower bracket is parallel to the upper bracket.
The lower mounting hardware on the lower brackets must be torqued to no more than 20 lb.-ft. (27 Nm) after final alignment of the air spring.
Install the 90-degree swivel fitting (part G) into the top of the air spring finger-tight plus 1½ turns.
Set the roll plate (part F) over the top of the air spring with the radius (rounded) edge facing the air spring, so that the air spring is seated inside both roll plates.
The carriage bolts must be on the opposite side of the fittings on the air spring assembly. This positioning ensures proper clearance and alignment during installation.
P clamps (part L) are installed on both sides of the assemblies (driver's and passenger's sides) on the back carriage bolts only. They help secure and position the air spring assemblies during installation.
The air spring bracket is slotted to allow forward or rearward adjustment. Move the air spring assembly so that the air spring is parallel to the upper and lower brackets. Once parallel, torque the upper hardware to 15 lb.-ft. (20 Nm).
On the driver's (left) side behind the axle, the ABS line must be adjusted so it does not rub on the lower bracket. Pull the line out of the holder on the axle, rotate it 180 degrees, and push it back into the holder. This changes the line position to prevent contact with the lower bracket.
Drilling is required only for Schrader valve installation. You must drill a 5/16" (8 mm) hole in your chosen location for each Schrader valve. Recommended locations include inside the fuel tank filler door, inside rear wheel wells, or the license plate/rear bumper area. Use a very sharp 5/16" drill bit and heavy duty drill.
Cut the air line in half using a razor blade or hose cutter, making clean, square cuts. Do not use scissors or wire cutters, as these will damage the line.
The minimum bend radius for the air line is 1" (25 mm). Avoid sharp bends and edges. Use zip ties to secure the air line to fixed points along the chassis, leaving at least 2" (51 mm) of slack to allow for suspension movement.
Maintain at least 6" (152 mm) of clearance between all air lines and the exhaust system. A heat shield and thermal sleeve are provided to protect the air line where it is closest to the exhaust. Position the thermal sleeve over the air line at the point closest to the exhaust.
Attach the metal heat shield to the exhaust where it is closest to the passenger's (right) side air spring. Slide the air line thermal sleeve over the air line and position it where the air line is closest to the exhaust. Maintain at least 1/2" (13 mm) of dead air space between the shield and exhaust.
The maximum inflation pressure is 100 PSI (7 BAR). However, the actual air pressure needed depends on load and your vehicle's gross vehicle weight rating. Never inflate beyond 100 PSI, and always maintain normal ride height.
The minimum recommended pressure is 5 PSI (0.34 BAR).
No. Compressed air can cause injury and damage to the vehicle and parts if not handled properly. Do not try to inflate the air springs until they have been properly secured to the vehicle.
Before road testing, perform the following checks: (1) Clearance test—inflate to 40–60 PSI and verify at least 1/2" clearance from tire, brakes, frame, shock absorbers and brake cables; (2) Leak test—inflate to 40–60 PSI and check all connections for leaks; (3) Heat test—verify at least 6" clearance from heat sources; (4) Fastener test—recheck all bolts for proper torque; (5) Road test—drive 10 miles and recheck for clearance, loose fasteners and leaks.
Check air pressure weekly. Always maintain normal ride height and never inflate beyond 100 PSI (7 BAR).
Use a soapy water solution to check all air line connections and the inflation valve core. Spray the solution on all connections and look for bubbles, which indicate a leak. All leaks must be eliminated before the vehicle is road tested.
You need a hoist or floor jacks, safety stands, torque wrench, wrenches and sockets, 5/16" drill bit, heavy duty drill, hose cutter or razor blade, air compressor, and spray bottle with soapy water.
Yes, you must unbolt and remove the stock jounce bumpers from both sides. This is a necessary step to install the kit.
Maintain at least 6" clearance between all air lines and the exhaust system. A heat shield and thermal sleeve are included to protect the air line.
Perform clearance, leak, heat, and fastener tests at 40–60 PSI. Drive 10 miles and recheck for clearance, loose fasteners, and leaks.
Check air pressure weekly. Never exceed 100 PSI and always maintain normal ride height.
Inflate the air springs to 40–60 PSI (2.8–4.1 BAR). Use a spray bottle with a soapy water solution to check all air line connections and the inflation valve core. Bubbles indicate a leak. All leaks must be eliminated before the vehicle is road tested. If a leak is found, deflate and remove the air spring to repair or replace the leaking component.
