The LoadLifter 7500 XL Ultimate offers support for the heaviest tows with an internal jounce bumper, absorbing shock for the smoothest ride. Air Lift’s fully adjustable, industry-leading air springs are the perfect upgrade for your vehicle, eliminating any issues you might face when towing and hauling. The LoadLifter 7500 XL Ultimate kit from Air Lift will give you the ability to drive select RAM 2500 four-wheel drive and select RAM 3500 four-wheel drive with added safety and comfort. Designed with an internal jounce bumper, the kit offers greater leveling strength for your ride at lower pressures. The kit’s 7-inch double-bellows air springs provide up to 7,500 lbs. of load-leveling capacity and help eliminate squat, trailer sway, body roll and bottoming out, keeping your cargo safe and secure while also ensuring a more comfortable ride. The closed-cell urethane foam jounce bumper inside the air spring provides a cushion of air that absorbs shock, eliminates harsh jarring on rough roads, and protects vehicles carrying heavy loads. An Air Lift exclusive, the kit features upper and lower roll plates for added protection. All end caps are made with an ultra-high-strength nylon composite formula, strong as steel but much lighter and corrosion-proof. The air springs are built like tires, reinforced with 2-ply fabric for maximum strength. The maximum air pressure is 100 PSI (7 BAR). However, the actual air pressure needed depends on load and your vehicle's gross vehicle weight rating. Never exceed 100 PSI, and always maintain normal ride height.

If your vehicle does not have a rear brake proportioning valve or is equipped with an anti-lock brake system, installation will have no effect on braking performance. However, if your vehicle has a rear brake proportioning valve, Air Lift recommends checking with your dealer before installation, as a load assist product could affect braking performance.

Yes. You must drill a 5/16" (8 mm) hole for each Schrader valve installation. The manual shows three optional locations: inside the fuel tank filler door, inside rear wheel wells, or license plate/rear bumper area. Choose locations based on your preference and drill as needed.
On some models, the roll plate on the driver's (left) side may contact the vent tube hose that comes out of the axle. If this occurs, you may need to modify the roll plate by cutting or grinding a small section to clear the hose. The lower bracket must sit flush on the axle with no interference. Spray paint any exposed metal from grinding or cutting before final installation.
Raise the vehicle and support it using safety stands or equivalent so that the axle can be safely dropped away from the frame. This is necessary to position the air spring assemblies between the axle and frame. Do not rely on a jack alone; use safety stands to prevent injury.
The cutout in the upper frame brackets (part B) must face inboard, away from the tire, on both sides of the frame. Install them with two M10-1.5 x 35 button head cap screws (part J) and torque to 37 lb.-ft. (50 Nm).

Set the roll plate (part F) on top of the air spring (part E) with the radiused (rounded) edge facing the air spring so that it is seated inside the roll plate. A second roll plate is also placed over the bottom of the air spring during assembly.
Torque the 3/8"-24 x 7/8" flat-head cap screws (part M) that secure the upper air spring brackets to no more than 20 lb.-ft. (27 Nm).
The long flanges of the lower bracket must be on the opposite side of the fitting at the top of the air spring assemblies. This orientation is critical for proper assembly and function.
Torque both 3/8"-24 x 3/4" button-head cap screws (part N) that secure the lower bracket to no more than 20 lb.-ft. (27 Nm). Use a 7/32" hex-head wrench and tighten both evenly.
For early-model trucks with a hard brake line behind the axle that is mounted away from the axle (with a gap between axle and brake line), position the lower bracket carriage bolt that will be behind the axle between the brake line and the axle.
For late-model trucks with a hard brake line and possibly an ABS harness mounted flush to the axle (with no gap between axle and brake line), position the driver's side lower bracket carriage bolt on the outside of the brake line.
On the passenger's (right) side, the lower bracket carriage bolt is always on the outside of the brake line on all early and late model trucks, regardless of the year.
Push the lower brackets up against the leaf spring pack so that the front and back legs are locked around the stock U-bolts. The lower bracket must be flush against the stock U-bolts. Install the supplied U-bolt (part G) around the spring stack and through the legs of the lower bracket.
Torque the clamp bar (part A) hardware to 16 lb.-ft. (22 Nm). The clamp bar is installed over the long lower bracket carriage bolts under the axle and capped with 3/8" flat washers (part L) and 3/8" nylon lock nuts (part K).
After torquing the lower clamp bar hardware to 16 lb.-ft. (22 Nm), torque the leaf spring U-bolt (part G) that was previously snugged to 10 lb.-ft. (14 Nm).
Insert the 3/8"-16 x 1 1/4" carriage bolts (part I) down through the top frame brackets and cap with 3/8" flat washers (part L) and 3/8"-16 nylon lock nuts (part K). Leave loose at this time; do not tighten yet.
Raise the axle or lower the frame so safety stands can be removed. Using the slot in the upper bracket, push the top of the air spring forward or backward to align it so that it is perpendicular (as much as possible) to both the upper and lower brackets. Then torque the upper bracket hardware to 31 lb.-ft. (42 Nm).
Torque the upper bracket hardware (3/8"-16 x 1 1/4" carriage bolts with washers and nylon lock nuts) to 31 lb.-ft. (42 Nm).
After the assemblies are adjusted and tight, make sure the brake lines on the back (both driver's and passenger's sides) do not come in contact with the rear carriage bolts. Adjust by pushing the line over to gain clearance if necessary.
The emergency brake cable must be above the upper brackets to avoid interference.

Cut the air line in half using a razor blade or hose cutter, making clean, square cuts. Do not use scissors or wire cutters, as they will damage the air line.
Maintain at least 6" (152 mm) of clearance between all air lines and the exhaust system. Avoid sharp bends and edges. The minimum bend radius for the air line is 1" (25 mm).
Use zip ties to secure the air line to fixed points along the chassis. Do not pinch or kink the air line. Leave at least 2" (51 mm) of slack in the air line to allow for any movement that might pull on it. The minimum bend radius is 1" (25 mm).
Attach the metal heat shield to the exhaust where it is closest to the passenger's (right) side air spring. Slide the air line thermal sleeve over the air line and position it where the air line is closest to the exhaust. Maintain 1/2" (13 mm) dead air space between the shield and exhaust.
Inflate the air springs to 40–60 PSI (2.8–4.1 BAR) and make sure there is at least 1/2" (13 mm) clearance from anything that might rub against each sleeve. Be sure to check the tire, brakes, frame, shock absorbers and brake cables.
Inflate the air springs to 40–60 PSI (2.8–4.1 BAR) and check all connections for leaks using a soapy water solution. All leaks must be eliminated before the vehicle is road tested.
Ensure there is sufficient clearance from heat sources—at least 6" (152 mm) for air springs and air lines. If a heat shield was included in the kit, install it. If there is no heat shield but one is required, call Air Lift customer service at (800) 248-0892.
Recheck all bolts for proper torque after installation.
Road test the vehicle after completing the clearance, leak, heat, and fastener tests. Inflate the springs to recommended driving pressures. Drive the vehicle 10 miles (16 km) and recheck for clearance, loose fasteners and air leaks.
Check air pressure weekly to maintain system performance and safety.
Use a soapy water solution to check all air line connections and the inflation valve core before deflating and removing the air spring. This will help you identify the source of the leak.
The air springs compress to 3.3" (84 mm) and extend to 9.0" (229 mm). The air spring should not be the suspension limiter in either compression or extension. Adjust air pressure so that normal ride height is maintained at all times, regardless of load.
If the air spring becomes the suspension limiter in extension, the use of limiting straps should be considered, particularly for off-road vehicles. The shock absorber is usually the limiter on extension.

If your truck has an anti-lock brake system or no rear brake proportioning valve, there is no effect. If it has a rear brake proportioning valve, check with your dealer before installation.
Perform clearance, leak, heat, and fastener tests at 40–60 PSI. Then road test for 10 miles and recheck all items. Ensure 1/2" clearance from all components and 6" from exhaust.
Check air pressure weekly. Maintain normal ride height. Never exceed 100 PSI. Do not exceed vehicle GVWR or payload rating. If a leak develops, use soapy water to locate it before deflating.
