The ARIES 3" bull bar is made for those who face the uncertain road without fear. This particular model is constructed from 304 stainless steel. 304 stainless is high in nickel content, allowing the bull bar to easily resist water, road salt and rust and maintain its mirror-like polished finish in spite of the elements. Other available finishes include high-gloss black stainless steel, textured black steel and semi-gloss black steel. Customizing the look of your vehicle is simple with the ARIES 3" bull bar. It is equipped with pre-drilled light mounting holes and a removable skid plate. The center crossbar features two pre-drilled holes that readily accept an LED light bar or two LED work lights. The skid plate is made from 304 stainless steel and has a brushed finish to stop rust and hide scratches and scuffs. It also features an aggressive, ARIES-exclusive cutout pattern and can be removed for a customized look. Each ARIES 3" bull bar is made a vehicle-specific design, meaning that for each make and model, the bull bar has a custom bend and unique mounting brackets. This allows for the best possible fit on your vehicle and ensures solid attachment. The brackets also use pre-existing factory holes in the vehicle's frame to eliminate drilling, speed up installation and increase rigidity. This bull bar fits select model years of the Toyota 4Runner (see application info to verify fitment).

Remove the driver side and passenger side plastic splash guards from under the front of the vehicle. The plastic center splash guard may also be removed for better access to hardware if necessary. Place removed splash guards on a clean, stable work area and note the type and location of all factory fasteners for reinstallation.
Yes, cutting is required. After the bull bar is installed and leveled, you must cut the plastic splash guards to clear the frame mounting brackets. Mark the area carefully on each splash guard and cut only the minimum amount of plastic necessary to clear the bracket before reinstalling with factory hardware.
Yes, assistance is required. Step 4 of the installation explicitly states 'With assistance, line up the mounting tabs on the Bull Bar with the (2) previously installed Frame Mounting Brackets' before bolting the bull bar to the frame mounting brackets.
Starting on the driver side, remove the 3 factory bumper mount bolts located toward the outside of the bumper mount. Select the driver side frame mounting bracket and insert it into the opening in the back of the bumper cover. Line up the 3 slots in the mounting bracket with the 3 bolt locations for the factory bumper bracket. Secure the frame mounting bracket to the factory bumper bracket using the 3 factory bolts removed earlier. Snug but do not tighten hardware at this time. Repeat for the passenger side.
The bull bar is bolted to the frame mounting brackets using 4 hex head bolts (12-1.75mm x 30mm), 8 flat washers (12mm ID x 24mm OD x 2.5mm), 4 lock washers (12mm), and 4 hex nuts (12mm). Two bolts, four washers, two lock washers, and two nuts are used on each side. Snug but do not tighten hardware until the bull bar is leveled and adjusted.
Do not tighten hardware immediately. Snug the frame mounting bracket bolts in Step 3, then snug the bull bar bolts in Step 4. Only after you have leveled and adjusted the bull bar properly in Step 5 should you tighten all hardware.
Apply masking tape to the openings in the bumper to protect the painted finish during bracket installation. This should be done before inserting the frame mounting brackets into the bumper cover opening.
Wax the product after installing. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives that could damage the finish. For stainless steel, aluminum polish may be used to polish small scratches and scuffs, and mild soap may be used to clean. For gloss black finishes, use only mild soap to clean.
