The ARIES 3" bull bar is made for those who face the uncertain road without fear. This particular model is constructed from 304 stainless steel. 304 stainless is high in nickel content, allowing the bull bar to easily resist water, road salt and rust and maintain its mirror-like polished finish in spite of the elements. Other available finishes include high-gloss black stainless steel, textured black steel and semi-gloss black steel. Customizing the look of your vehicle is simple with the ARIES 3" bull bar. It is equipped with pre-drilled light mounting holes and a removable skid plate. The center crossbar features two pre-drilled holes that readily accept an LED light bar or two LED work lights. The skid plate is made from 304 stainless steel and has a brushed finish to stop rust and hide scratches and scuffs. It also features an aggressive, ARIES-exclusive cutout pattern and can be removed for a customized look. Each ARIES 3" bull bar is made a vehicle-specific design, meaning that for each make and model, the bull bar has a custom bend and unique mounting brackets. This allows for the best possible fit on your vehicle and ensures solid attachment. The brackets also use pre-existing factory holes in the vehicle's frame to eliminate drilling, speed up installation and increase rigidity. This bull bar fits select model years of the Ram 1500, Ram 1500 Classic and Dodge Ram 1500 (see application info to verify fitment).

Yes. The manual states "With help, lift the bull bar into place" in Step 4 and again in Step 8 when reinstalling the bull bar after splash guard modification. A helper is required.
The first step is to carefully remove the plastic splash guard attached to the bottom of the front bumper. Depending on the truck model, it may be held on by two-piece plastic push fasteners, rivets, or hex bolts. Keep all hardware for later reinstallation.
On the driver side, remove the two hex nuts holding the front of the tow hooks in place. Attach the lower mounting bracket to the bumper bolts using the previously removed hex bolts. Then loosen the rear mounting bolt on the tow hook and slide the slotted end of the mounting bracket behind the bolt. Snug the hardware but do not fully tighten. Repeat on the passenger side.
Starting on the driver side, remove the two hex nuts from the lower factory bumper bolts and insert one upper frame bracket, securing it with the previously removed hex nuts (Step 3A). Attach the driver side lower frame mounting bracket to the upper frame mounting bracket using 12mm hex nuts, flat washers and lock washers (Step 3B). Install the non-slotted end of the support bracket to the frame using a 12mm fine thread hex bolt, lock washer and flat washer. Attach the slotted end to the upper hole on the lower mount using a 10mm hex bolt, flat washer, lock washer and hex nut (Step 3C). Repeat Steps 3A through 3C on the passenger side.
With help, lift the bull bar into place and align the mounting tabs on the bull bar with the inside of the mounting brackets. Secure the bull bar using a 10mm hex bolt and flat washer on the outside and a flat washer, lock washer and hex nut on the inside for both the front and rear mounting points on the mounting bracket. Repeat on the passenger side. Check that the bull bar is centered and level on the vehicle.
Do not tighten the hardware on the bull bar until the final step. After the splash guard is reinstalled and the bull bar is back in place, level and adjust the bull bar into the desired position and then tighten all hardware (Step 9).
Yes. After the bull bar is initially installed, you must remove it, then cut two slots in the splash guard to clear the mounting brackets. The cut areas will be approximately 1/2" wide by 4" long, though the exact size will vary depending on the splash guard and bumper cover design. After cutting, reinstall the splash guard using the factory hardware and then reinstall the bull bar.
The manual lists a utility knife in the required tools and instructs you to cut two slots in the splash guard in Step 7. A utility knife is the appropriate tool for this task.

To protect the product, apply a layer of nonabrasive wax after installing. Regular waxing is recommended to add a protective layer over the finish. Do not use any type of polish or wax that may contain abrasives, as these could damage the finish. For stainless steel, mild polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs, and mild soap may be used to clean the product.
After installation, level and adjust the bull bar into the desired position and tighten all hardware. Check that the bull bar is centered and level on the vehicle. Perform periodic inspections to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight. Apply a layer of nonabrasive wax to protect your investment.
