ARIES 4" oval side bars are made with strong 4" elliptical tubing and are available in two different finish options to allow for full customization: polished stainless steel and black powder coat carbon steel. This set of side bars is constructed from 304 stainless steel, meaning high nickel content to be truly stainless. They easily resist rust and corrosion and feature a highly polished finish that is made to last. Something that sets the ARIES 4" oval side bar apart from all others is its blended end caps and OE-style bends. Rather than capping our side bars with a plastic cap, we offer a blended end cap for a smooth, finished appearance. We also equip the ends with a special 20-degree bend and original equipment styling to perfectly contour to your vehicle. ARIES 4" oval side bars are fitted with raised step pads to provide a wide stepping surface. The polypropylene construction will not crack over time, and because it has a textured grip, the surface is highly resistant to slips and skids, even when wet. Installation of ARIES 4" oval side bars is quick and easy with custom-fitted mounting brackets and no drilling necessary. These nerf bars fit select model years of the Ram 1500, 1500 Classic and Dodge Ram 1500 (see application info to verify fitment).

Place the bracket onto the vehicle and secure with an M12 flat washer, lock washer, and hex nut. Secure the bottom with two M8 hex bolts, lock washers, and flat washers (snug but do not fully tighten). On vehicles without M8 threaded inserts, use an M10 hex bolt, lock washer, and flat washer instead, aligning the M10 nut on the M12 bolt plate with either hole location on the bracket.
Place the side bar onto the mounting brackets and align the mounting points. Ensure the rivet nuts on the bottom of the side bar line up with the brackets. Secure the side bar to the brackets using an M10 hex bolt, lock washer, and flat washer at each mounting location. Snug the hardware but do not fully tighten until after leveling.
After placing the side bar onto the mounting brackets and aligning the mounting points, use a level to adjust the side bar until it is level. Once level, tighten all brackets to the vehicle first, followed by the side bar connections.

M10 bolts should be torqued to 16 ft.-lbs.
M12 bolts should be torqued to 28 ft.-lbs.
