ARIES 4" oval side bars are sleek, strong and custom-fitted to be a highly functional extension of your truck. ARIES 4" oval side bars are made with strong 4" elliptical tubing and are available in two different finish options to allow for full customization: polished stainless steel and black powder coat carbon steel. This set of side bars is constructed from 304 stainless steel, meaning high nickel content to be truly stainless. They easily resist rust and corrosion and feature a highly polished finish that is made to last. Something that sets the ARIES 4" oval side bar apart from all others is its blended end caps and OE-style bends. Rather than capping our side bars with a plastic cap, we offer a blended end cap for a smooth, finished appearance. We also equip the ends with a special 20-degree bend and original equipment styling to perfectly contour to your vehicle. ARIES 4" oval side bars are fitted with raised step pads to provide a wide stepping surface. The polypropylene construction will not crack over time, and because it has a textured grip, the surface is highly resistant to slips and skids, even when wet. Installation of ARIES 4" oval side bars is quick and easy with custom-fitted mounting brackets and no drilling necessary. These nerf bars fit select model years of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD or 3500 HD crew cab (see application info to verify fitment).

The kit includes 1 driver/left side bar, 1 passenger/right side bar, 8 mounting brackets (universal), 16 flat washers (M8), 16 lock washers (M8), 16 hex bolts (M8), 16 flat washers (M10), 16 lock washers (M10), and 16 hex bolts (M10).
Yes. The side bars mount to six pre-threaded mounting locations along the vehicle rocker panel. The installation uses the first, third, fourth and sixth mounting points from the front. Some models may not have a sixth mounting point; if absent, use the fifth mounting point instead.
You will need a torque wrench, ratchet, 13mm socket, 16mm socket, 16mm wrench, and a flathead screwdriver.
M8 bolts should be torqued to 7 ft-lbs.
M10 bolts should be torqued to 16 ft-lbs.
1. Locate the six pre-threaded mounting locations on the vehicle rocker panel. Use the first, third, fourth and sixth mounting points from the front (or fifth if sixth is absent). 2. Loosely secure each bracket to the vehicle using two M8 hex bolts, flat washers and lock washers. 3. Place the 4" side bar onto the brackets and align the holes. 4. Secure the side bar to the brackets using two M10 hex bolts, flat washers and lock washers for each bracket. 5. Level the side bar and tighten all hardware to the specified torque: M8 bolts to 7 ft-lbs., M10 bolts to 16 ft-lbs. 6. Repeat on the passenger side.
Tighten the M8 bracket bolts loosely first, then place the side bar on the brackets and secure it with M10 bolts. After aligning and securing the side bar, level it and then tighten all hardware to the specified torque values: M8 bolts to 7 ft-lbs. and M10 bolts to 16 ft-lbs.
Wax the product after installing and regularly thereafter to add a protective layer. Do not use polish or wax containing abrasives, dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, or wire brushes, as these may damage the finish. Use only mild automotive detergent for cleaning. For polished, gloss and other smooth finishes, polish may be used to clear small scratches and scuffs. Perform periodic inspections to ensure all mounting hardware remains tight.
Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or similar products that may damage the finish. Do not use polish or wax containing abrasives. Only mild automotive detergent is recommended for cleaning.
