ARIES 4" oval side bars are sleek, strong and custom-fitted to be a highly functional extension of your truck. ARIES 4" oval side bars are made with strong 4" elliptical tubing and are available in two different finish options to allow you full customization: polished stainless steel and black powder coat carbon steel. This set of side bars is constructed from high-strength carbon steel for a solid step, and they feature a dual-layer E-coat and semi-gloss black powder coat finish for excellent protection against scratching, chipping and peeling. Something that sets the ARIES 4" oval side bar apart from all others is its blended end caps and OE-style bends. Rather than capping our side bars with a plastic cap, we offer a blended end cap for a smooth, finished appearance. We also equip the ends with a special 20-degree bend and original equipment styling to perfectly contour to your vehicle. ARIES 4" oval side bars are fitted with raised step pads to provide a wide stepping surface. The polypropylene construction will not crack over time, and because it has a textured grip, the surface is highly resistant to slips and skids, even when wet. To add an extra element of class to our oval sides, we also fit each one with a stainless steel insignia bearing the ARIES name. Installation of ARIES 4" oval side bars is quick and easy with custom-fitted mounting brackets and no drilling necessary. These nerf bars fit select model years of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 HD, 2500 HD Classic, 3500 HD and 3500 Classic (see application info to verify fitment).

Attach driver-side front support bracket to nut plate and mounting bracket (do not fully tighten). 6. Attach center support bracket to body mount and center mounting bracket (do not fully tighten). 7. Attach middle support bracket using bolt tab. 8. Position and attach driver-side bar to all mounting brackets (do not fully tighten). 9. Level and adjust the bar, then tighten all hardware. 10. Repeat steps 2–9 for the passenger side.
Do not tighten any fasteners until the final step. The manual states 'Do not tighten at this time' for the front support bracket, center support bracket, middle support bracket, and side bar attachment. Only after the driver-side bar is positioned and levelled should you tighten all hardware. Repeat this process for the passenger side.
1. Insert one nut plate through the oval hole in the frame, orienting it toward the front round hole. 2. Partially thread one M10 x 30mm hex bolt, one M10 lock washer, and one M10 flat washer into the nut plate. 3. Do not fully tighten. 4. Tighten this connection to the nut plate. 5. Carefully push up on the support bracket until it reaches the inside hole in the mounting bracket. 6. Attach the opposite side of the support bracket to the inside hole in the mounting bracket using one M10 x 30mm hex bolt, one M10 hex nut, one M10 lock washer, and two M10 flat washers. Do not tighten at this time.
The bolt tab (M10 x 47mm) is placed in an oblong hole located just above the center mounting bracket. It serves as an anchor point to secure the driver-side middle support bracket. The bracket is secured to the bolt tab using one M10 hex nut, one M10 lock washer, and one M10 flat washer.
