Yes. You must remove the factory tow hook from the passenger side of the vehicle. The baseplate will mount to the same bolt holes where the tow hook was attached. Note that similar bolt holes exist on the driver's side, but you only remove the passenger-side hook.
The manual instructs you to inspect the bolts removed from the tow hook for reuse and to hand-start them during baseplate installation. Install the tow bar and safety cables per their included instructions.
No drilling is required. The baseplate uses existing factory tow hook holes. However, due to dimensional variations between vehicles, you may need to file a baseplate hole slightly to allow a bolt to clear. This is a minor adjustment, not a permanent modification to the vehicle.
