Blue Ox is known internationally for recreational and commercial towing products, manufacturing in Pender, Nebraska since 1925. 1. Open the hood. 2. Remove the center grill molding by squeezing the button ends on the back and gently pulling it off. 3. Remove the Phillips screws holding the bumper molding under the grill molding. 4. Remove screws from the front area of the wheel well molding. 5. Pull the black plastic back and locate the bolt on each side at the top corner of the bumper molding. 6. Remove the two 10mm bolts on the underside of the bumper molding. 7. Gently pull the bumper off.
Hold the baseplate up to the existing holes in the frame. Use the existing bolts that were removed from the tie-down bracket (three 14mm bolts per side). Replace the 12mm bolt that held the bumper plastic for the tie-down bracket with new bolts from the bolt bag. Apply Loctite to all bolts to prevent loosening during towing. Tighten all bolts according to the Torque Guide Chart in the General Instruction Sheet.
