Second, you must drill two 3/32" holes in the engine compartment to mount the 4-Flat bracket (step 12). In both cases, take care not to drill through the vehicle body or any exposed surface.
Cut the cable ties on the 4-Flat portion of the harness (step 7). Route it down the taillight opening, then use a fish tape to pull it through the rear wheel well (step 7). Route the fish tape along the splash guard and pull the 4-Flat through the plastic splash guard (step 8). Continue routing the 4-Flat underneath the vehicle to the driver's side front wheel well, securing it to the vehicle with the adhesive cable tie pads provided (step 9). At the front wheel well, remove the access cover and use a fish tape to pull the 4-Flat up and over the wheel well (step 10). Finally, route the fish tape through the opening on the side of the battery and down through the access panel opening, then pull the 4-Flat up into the engine compartment (step 11).
The fish tape is used to route the harness through tight spaces and confined areas of the vehicle.
