It features an OE style design to fully integrate with the front of the vehicle and maintain a factory look. This Ram 1500 tow bar baseplate is constructed from high-quality steel and is precisely welded for a perfect fit. It is physically tested for absolute safety and peace of mind while dinghy towing. It also features a unique co-cured finish of liquid A-coat and highly durable powder coat to protect against the outdoor elements. This base plate for towing comes with attachment tabs, safety cables and installation hardware.

A reciprocating saw is also required for trimming.
Temporary removals: wheel well, bumper, bumper valence, auto valence, and fenders. Permanent removals: recovery loops/D-rings and (if equipped) tow hooks. The bumper brackets on the back of the bumper will not be reinstalled. All removed components except brackets and tow hooks are reinstalled after base plate installation.

Each cable must meet or exceed the gross weight of the towed vehicle. Cables must not pinch or interfere with hoses, wiring, or other components. Safety cables are not a replacement for safety chains connecting the tow vehicle to the towed vehicle. Safety cables should be used at all times when dinghy towing.
Tighten in this specific order: (1) side bolt first, (2) back bottom mounting bolt, (3) front bottom mounting bolt. All bolts must be tightened to 110 ft-lb. Use Loctite RED on all bolt threads. This sequence applies to both sides of the vehicle.
