While the basic CURT gooseneck ball offers all the towing power needed for towing that heavy-duty flatbed trailer, a standard trailer ball does not always provide the perfect fit for your unique application. The CURT offset gooseneck ball is the fast, convenient way to offset the placement of your gooseneck hitch by 4".If you have owned your gooseneck for any amount of time, you know it is bolted in there to stay, but what happens when you need to pull a gooseneck trailer with an especially long front overhang? Without the right amount of clearance between the overhang and your truck cab, those tight corners can be a little tough. The CURT Double Lock gooseneck offset ball easily slides into any Double Lock gooseneck hitch and sets the coupling point 4" back of the original trailer ball hole. The offset gooseneck trailer ball secures into place, just like any other compatible gooseneck ball, using the Double Lock's dual-pin locking system. It offers a gross trailer weight capacity up to 20,000 lbs. and a vertical load capacity of 5,000 lbs. The C-602 is designed for pickup trucks equipped with a Double Lock gooseneck hitch. Your truck must already have a Double Lock gooseneck hitch installed. The extender will not work with other hitch types. Verify your hitch is a Double Lock model before purchasing.
No. The C-602 cannot be used with plastic bed liners or other additions to the bed floor. These items prevent the extender from being fully seated inside the Double Lock cylinder or being engaged by the Double Lock pins. You must remove any bed liner before using this extender.
The C-602 has a gross load capacity of 20,000 lbs trailer weight and 5,000 lbs tongue weight when used as a weight-carrying hitch. The hitch itself weighs 19 lbs. However, you must not exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity, which may be lower than these ratings.

1. Disengage the Double Lock pins on your gooseneck hitch. 2. Remove any ball or other accessory currently in the hitch. 3. Insert the round shank of the extender into the Double Lock cylinder, positioning the ball closer to the rear of the pickup than the round shank. 4. Engage the Double Lock pins, ensuring they fully engage the round shank and pass through the cylinder completely. The extender is now locked in place.
Lightly lubricate the round shank with grease regularly to prevent wear. Grease the ball with each use to reduce wear. Periodically check all fasteners to ensure they are tight and all structural components are sound. These maintenance steps will extend the life of the extender and ensure safe operation.
Before using the extender, verify that: (1) the extender fully seats in the gooseneck, (2) the Double Lock pins fully engage the round shank and pass through the cylinder completely, (3) your towing setup does not exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity, and (4) you have reviewed the turning clearance warning to ensure safe operation.
