The CURT Rebellion XD adjustable cushion hitch ball mount upgrades your towing system with a smoother ride, greater control and enhanced longevity, all while providing exceptional towing power with virtually no need for maintenance. It is unlike any other ball mount because it operates using ShockDrop technology. At the core of this heavy-duty ball hitch is a cushion isolator that resists jerking, jarring, bumps, vibrations, chucking and rattling noise at the coupling point. Unlike a cushion hitch or torsion hitch that uses airbags or bearings, ShockDrop offers extended resistance to wear without the need for maintenance. The result is a more comfortable drive, increased driver control and better management of the vehicle-trailer combination in events of sudden braking. The adaptive, suspension mechanism and lightweight design of this cushion hitch help minimize stress on your vehicle and its suspension and braking systems. The Rebellion XD shock-absorbing hitch is also an adjustable trailer hitch ball mount, featuring a highly versatile vertical shank that promotes level towing, even with large, lifted trucks. The vertical shank has 6 height adjustment positions with a maximum drop of 6 inches (shank cannot be flipped to rise position). For dependable towing strength, the Rebellion XD cushion hitch ball mount is tested and rated for 10,000 pounds for the 2-inch ball and 15,000 pounds for the 2-5/16-inch ball (limited to lowest-rated towing component). It has a standard 2-inch x 2-inch shank. For long-lasting weather resistance, the Rebellion XD is protected with a textured, dark grey teridium finish to withstand rain, dirt, UV damage and other corrosive threats.

The CURT 45951 Rebellion™ XD is a dual ball hitch mount that installs into a trailer hitch receiver tube. It allows you to tow trailers by providing an adjustable ball height platform. The product includes an adjustable shank, dual ball accessory, pins, and a clip. A hitch pin and clip for the receiver must be purchased separately.
The CURT 45951 has a gross trailer weight (GTW) capacity of 15,000 lbs and a tongue weight (TW) capacity of 1,500 lbs. Never exceed your vehicle manufacturer's recommended towing capacity, as the ratings of the mount system represent only the product's capability, not your vehicle's towing system limits.
No. The CURT 45951 cannot be used in the rise position. It can only be used in the drop position.
The CURT 45951 is designed to work with standard trailer couplers. However, you must check for proper clearance of the trailer coupler to the tongue of the Rebellion™ XD when latched on the ball. Some couplers may require a 1" rise ball to add clearance for maneuvering. Measure your trailer coupler height and select the appropriate ball height hole on the adjustable shank.
No tools are required for assembly and setup. However, you will need a torque wrench with a 3/8" hex drive socket to torque the hitch pin to 45–55 lb-ft before towing.
The CURT 45951 includes: one adjustable shank, one dual ball accessory, two pins, and one clip. The hitch pin and clip for securing the shank into the receiver tube are sold separately.

Level your trailer and measure from the bottom of the trailer tongue to the ground. Find the hole on the adjustable shank (#1) that is closest to that measurement. The trailer ball platform will be centered on that hole. This ensures proper coupling alignment and safe towing.
Begin by inserting the adjustable shank (#1) into the trailer hitch receiver tube and secure it with a hitch pin and clip (sold separately).
Based on your determined ball height, slide the dual ball mount onto the shank and align it with the proper hole locations. Angle the dual ball slightly upwards and press it toward the shank. Insert a pin into the top tongue hole first. To pin the bottom mount hole, apply downward force to the mount and slide the second pin into place. For the highest mounting position, install the bottom pin first with the mount angled downward, then apply upward force to install the second pin. Secure both pins with the included clip.
Yes. The clip can be installed in both up or down orientations.

No. Never hook up trailer safety chains to the mount system. Ensure the safety chains operate freely around the mount system and do not become entangled.
You must use only the pins provided with the CURT 45951 or replacement pins that are original factory mount pins (CURT# 45959). Use of any other pin is a serious safety hazard and will void the warranty.
Apply grease to the zerk located on the back of the shank assembly prior to each use to ensure quiet and trouble-free operation. Clean the product with mild automotive detergent only. Do not use dish detergent, abrasive cleaners, abrasive pads, wire brushes or other similar products that may damage the finish.
The CURT 45951 is a universal hitch mount that installs into any standard trailer hitch receiver tube. Verify your vehicle has a receiver hitch and check the weight capacity (15,000 lbs GTW, 1,500 lbs TW) against your vehicle manufacturer's towing capacity.
