You did not buy that deluxe RV trailer to sit on cinder blocks by the garage all year. You bought it to hitch up to your pickup truck and tour the country, experiencing the beautiful landscape one mile after another. Put your mind at ease with every mile of your journey by installing your 5th wheel hitch the right way with CURT 5th wheel brackets. CURT semi-custom 5th wheel brackets are designed to work with CURT universal base rails when installing a 5th wheel trailer hitch. The semi-custom brackets fit on certain trucks that are unable to use parts from the universal installation kit due to limiting obstructions on the underbody. Together with the universal rails, the semi-custom brackets create a solid attachment point for your 5th wheel hitch. Like our custom 5th wheel brackets, CURT semi-custom brackets come with a liquid A-coat finish, making them resilient to rust and scratching. These particular semi-custom 5th wheel brackets are designed to be used in combination with CURT #16104 or #16204 rails and offer a vehicle-specific fit for certain Ford F150 trucks (see application information to verify fitment).

Contact Curt Manufacturing or your installer if you need confirmation for your exact model.

Yes. You must remove the jounce block from the bottom of the frame on both sides before installation. The jounce block is removed to access the hole through which carriage bolts are pulled. After installation is complete, the jounce block must be replaced.
Yes, drilling is required. You must drill two center holes in the mounting location, plus eight holes for the rail system (CM-16100-TS). One hole in the frame at the rearward bracket position must be drilled. Before drilling, you must check for obstructions such as fuel lines, brake lines, and structural members. Do not drill through both walls of the frame—drill only through the wall to which the bracket is mounted. Do not drill in the 4-inch zone between the parallel rows of bed sill spot welds.
Alignment is critical and uses a diagonal measurement method. Measure from the rear edge of the truck bed to the rear edge of the mounting rail. Measure diagonally from the same reference point on both sides. The measurements should be identical. Choose 10 holes from the marked positions (identified by black dots) that correspond with your vehicle configuration. Each mounting rail must have a bolt in either of the marked holes. When brackets are in place, one of the front two holes should line up with an existing hole in the frame.
Pull carriage bolts with bolt plates through the hole in the bottom of the frame (where the jounce block was removed) and through the rear hole in each bracket. For forward brackets, use a carriage bolt, bolt plate, and 1-inch washer. For rearward brackets, use a carriage bolt, bolt plate, and 13/16-inch washer. U-shaped spacers should be positioned above or below the bed to fill bed corrugation. Secure with washers and nuts. The manual does not specify final torque values or a complete tightening sequence.
Yes. The manual explicitly states: 'READ INSTRUCTIONS OF RAIL SYSTEM BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT VEHICLE DAMAGE!' You must read the instructions for the rail system (CM-16100-TS) before beginning bracket installation.
Before drilling, you must check for obstructions including fuel lines, brake lines, and structural members. The manual states: 'CHECK FOR OBSTRUCTIONS BEFORE DRILLING. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD RESULT IN DAMAGED FUEL OR BRAKE LINES, STRUCTURAL MEMBERS, ETC.' It is the installer's responsibility to prevent damage. Do not drill in the 4-inch zone between the parallel rows of bed sill spot welds where the bed sill sits.
No. You must drill only through the wall of the frame to which the bracket is mounted. Do not drill through both walls of the frame.
The U-shaped spacers (CM-SP136) are positioned above or below the bed to fill bed corrugation. They ensure proper fitment and alignment of the brackets to the truck bed contours.
Forward brackets use a 1-inch washer with the carriage bolt and bolt plate. Rearward brackets use a 13/16-inch washer with the carriage bolt and bolt plate.

Carriage bolts are pulled through the hole in the bottom of the frame (where the jounce block was removed) using supplied pull wire. The bolts are then pulled through the rear hole in each bracket. For forward brackets, the bolt is accompanied by a bolt plate and 1-inch washer. For rearward brackets, the bolt is accompanied by a bolt plate and 13/16-inch washer. The bolts are then secured with lock washers, flat washers, and hex nuts.
The mounting rail is 29 5/16 inches long and is compatible with both long and short bed F-150 configurations.
