The semi-custom brackets fit on certain trucks that are unable to use parts from the universal installation kit due to limiting obstructions on the underbody. Together with the universal rails, the semi-custom brackets create a solid attachment point for your 5th wheel hitch. Like our custom 5th wheel brackets, CURT semi-custom brackets come with a liquid A-coat finish, making them resilient to rust and scratching. These particular semi-custom 5th wheel brackets are designed to be used in combination with CURT #16104 or #16204 rails and offer a vehicle-specific fit for certain Ram 1500 and Dodge Ram 1500 trucks (see application information to verify fitment).

Hole locations vary by vehicle configuration and bed length.
Drill initial holes with a 3/16" drill bit, then enlarge them to 17/32". Always use sharp drill bits. A 3/16" pilot hole will greatly speed up drilling the larger holes. The 17/32" size is critical—smaller holes may cause bolt failure, and larger holes may prevent the bolt neck from gripping properly.
Yes. Using a 1" drill bit, drill access holes in the bottom of the bed sill to install nuts and washers onto the bed rail bolts. This allows you to secure the bolts from underneath the bed.
No. On Dodge Ram applications, drill only through the wall of the frame to which the bracket is mounted. Do not drill through both walls of the frame. This is critical to avoid damaging internal frame components.
Use the supplied 1/2" fishwire to pull the ribbed neck bolts through the frame access holes as needed per your specific application. This is necessary on Dodge Ram applications because the bolts must be installed from inside the frame.
If interference with suspension springs occurs, you have two options: cut the bolt flush to the nut on the outboard side of the frame, or use the optional weld installation method instead of bolting. Consult with your installer to determine the best approach for your specific suspension setup.
All nuts on the frame bolts must be torqued to 110 lb-ft. Use a 100 lb-ft torque wrench. Tighten the nuts until the bolt heads seat before final torquing.
