Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

The maximum gross trailer weight is 2000 LB (908 kg) and the maximum tongue weight is 200 LB (90.8 kg). Do not exceed the lower of this rating or your vehicle manufacturer's towing rating.
You will need wrenches in the following sizes: 3/4", 13mm, and 19mm. Pull wires are provided with the hitch. No drill bits are required as no drilling is necessary for this installation.
Yes, pull wires are provided with the hitch assembly and are used during installation to feed the carriage bolt and spacer through the frame rail slots.
No. The manual specifies "Drill Bits: None". No drilling is required for this installation.
1. Feed the carriage bolt and large spacer through slots on the bottom of frame rails using pull wires. 2. Remove existing M12 bolts (do not clean threads). 3. Raise hitch into position, feeding pull wires through rearward holes on bracket. Install driver's side bracket first near the forward exhaust hanger. If needed, loosen the passenger-side exhaust hanger to allow movement. 4. Reinstall M12 bolts and washers. 5. Remove pull wires and install conical washer and hex nut on 1/2" fasteners. 6. Tighten all fasteners to specification. 7. Re-tighten the exhaust hanger if loosened.
The carriage bolt may need to be inserted at an angle to fit through the slots on the bottom of the frame rails. The manual notes this as a possibility in Step 1.
No. The manual explicitly states "Do Not clean the threads" when removing the existing M12 bolts in Step 2. If necessary to start the bolts in Step 4, clean only the first few threads.
If necessary to get the passenger-side bracket into position, loosen the exhaust hanger on the passenger's side. This will allow the exhaust bracket to move side to side, creating clearance. After installation is complete, re-tighten the exhaust hanger.
The pull wires are used to feed the carriage bolt and large spacer through the slots on the bottom of the frame rails. They should be left in position to assist in locating the bolt when the hitch is placed in position, and later fed through the rearward holes on the bracket. They are removed after the hitch is secured with the M12 bolts.
All M12X1.50 CL 10.9 fasteners must be tightened with a torque wrench to 92 Lb.-Ft. (125 N*M).
All 1/2-13 GR 5 fasteners must be tightened with a torque wrench to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M).
The hitch includes: (2) Carriage Bolts 1/2-13 X 2.00, (2) Spacers, (2) Conical Washers 1/2", and (2) Hex Nuts 1/2-13. The existing M12 bolts and washers from the vehicle are reused. Additional fasteners are available in Fastener Kit 24825F.
Reuse the existing M12 bolts and washers that you remove in Step 2. Reinstall them in Step 4. Be careful not to cross-thread the bolt and existing weldnut.
The conical washer is installed on the 1/2" carriage bolts along with the hex nut after the pull wires are removed in Step 5. It helps distribute load and secure the fastener.
Remove the pull wires in Step 5, after the hitch has been raised into position and the M12 bolts have been reinstalled. After removing the pull wires, install the conical washer and hex nut on the 1/2" fasteners.
Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. Be careful not to cross-thread bolts and existing weldnuts, and do not push the carriage bolt back into the frame when installing the conical washer and hex nut.
The drawbar must be used in the rise position only. Do not use it in any other position.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. Verify that all fasteners are torqued to specification and that the ball is secure before towing.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not continue to use a damaged hitch.
No. The drawbar is sold separately as Drawbar Kit 3594. You must purchase it separately if you need it.
The wiring access location is PC3 and PC4.
