You must remove bolts and plastic covers from the underside of the vehicle on both sides using an 8mm socket. You must also remove square rubber plugs from the underside of the frame rails on both sides.
Using the square access hole in the frame rail and the supplied bolt leader (wireform), insert a 7/16" bolt and spacer block into the frame. Kink the bolt leader to keep the block independent of the bolt, as shown in Figure 1. This allows you to position the spacer block at the desired bolt attachment hole inside the frame.
1. Remove factory bolts, plastic covers, and rubber plugs from both sides of the underside. 2. Insert the 7/16" bolt and spacer block into the frame using the bolt leader. 3. Raise the driver side bracket into place and attach conical washers and 7/16" nuts, finger tighten. 4. Raise the hitch into position and attach conical washers and 7/16" nuts, finger tighten. 5. Install 3/8" bolts (heads facing toward tailpipe) with flat washers and locknuts through the driver side bracket and hitch, finger tighten. 6. Torque all hardware to specification. 7. Reinstall the square plugs and plastic covers.
