The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. You need to remove fascia rivets from the fascia tabs between the trunk pan and the rear fascia in step 3. If present, you must also remove the plastic under covering located under the trunk pan. After installation, you will reinsert the fascia rivets back into the fascia tabs in step 10. For Toyota Camry Hybrid models, you must also remove the plastic fascia covering the driver's side frame rail and return it with screws to the vehicle owner.

In step 8, install the 1/2" hex bolts, blocks, lockwashers, and nuts through the holes you drilled in the trunk pan. The blocks (1/4 X 1.50 X 3.00) go between the bolt head and the trunk pan. These fasteners must be tightened to 75 Lb.-Ft. (102 N*M).
The drawbar must be used in the Rise position only. Do not use it in any other position.
