Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Yes, the Draw-tite Class 2 Trailer Hitch, 1-1/4" Square Receiver, Black for Select Lexus ES350 36530 (Part #DT36530) is designed to fit the 2013-2018 Lexus ES350.
The Draw-tite Class 2 Trailer Hitch, 1-1/4" Square Receiver, Black for Select Lexus ES350 36530 (Part #DT36530) Drilling is required for installation. Basic hand tools are typically all you need.
No. Part number 36530 is designed for Lexus ES350 models only, excluding Hybrid models. If you have a Hybrid ES350, you will need to consult the manufacturer or a fitment specialist for a compatible hitch solution.
The maximum Gross Trailer Weight (GTWR) is 3500 lb (1589 kg), and the maximum tongue weight is 300 lb (136 kg). However, you must not exceed the lower of this rating or your vehicle manufacturer's towing specification.
The drawbar is sold separately. The compatible drawbar kit is part number 36071.
The drawbar must be used in the RISE position only. Do not use it in any other position.
Required tools include: wrenches in 10mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 17mm, 11/16", and 3/4" sizes; a small screwdriver; drill bits for 1/4" and 1" holes; tin snips; and a torque wrench. Pull wires are provided with the hitch. Lubricant or soapy water is also needed to help remove the exhaust system hangers.
The exhaust system must be lowered and repositioned, but not completely removed. You will lower it at the rubber isolators (4 places) and remove the hanger behind the passenger side muffler and the next hanger using a 12mm socket. You will also loosen the exhaust at the hanger brackets using a 14mm socket (3 places on each side). The heat shield(s) must be removed. Be sure to support the exhaust system throughout this process.
Yes. You must drill a 1/4" pilot hole and a 1" access hole in the frame rail as needed. The exact location depends on whether the forward holes align with existing vehicle frame holes. If they do not align, you will use the hitch as a template to mark and center punch the hole location before drilling. You must also drill the heat shield for the 7/16" carriage bolt. Caution must be taken to avoid wires and fuel lines when drilling.
No. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. Use the specified drill bits (1/4" and 1") instead.
All 7/16" GR5 fasteners must be tightened to 50 lb-ft (68 N·m) using a torque wrench.
All 1/2" GR5 fasteners must be tightened to 75 lb-ft (102 N·m) using a torque wrench.
The pull wire procedure is used to feed fasteners (items 5 and 6) into the frame rail. The procedure involves three steps: (A) Insert the bolt and block into the frame; (B) Align the block on the access hole; (C) Pull the bolt through the block. Pull wires are provided with the hitch. After feeding the fasteners, leave the pull wires attached until you raise the hitch back into position and feed the pull wires through the bracket before installing the remaining fasteners.
Fasteners should be installed loosely initially. In step 4, you loosely install the 1/2" fasteners to the vehicle hanger brackets. In step 7, you loosely install the 1/2" fasteners again before feeding the pull wires through the bracket and installing remaining fasteners. All fasteners are tightened to their required torque specifications only in step 9, after the hitch is fully positioned and all fasteners are in place.
The hitch includes: (2) hex bolts 1/2"-13 x 1.75 GR5; (2) spacers; (2) conical washers 1/2"; (4) flat washers 1/2" (2 optional); (2) hex nuts 1/2"; (2) hex bolts M6 x 1.00 x 16mm; (2) conical washers 7/16"; (2) hex nuts 7/16"-14; and (2) carriage bolts 7/16"-14 x 1.50 GR5. Additional fasteners are available in the Fastener Kit 36530F.
Yes. Two optional 1/2" flat washers are included. These are used as needed due to vehicle variance. The manual indicates they should be used if the forward brackets do not sit flush against the vehicle frame.
If the forward holes (both sides) do not align with an existing vehicle frame hole, mark and center punch the hole location to be drilled using the hitch as a template. Then lower the hitch and drill a 1/4" pilot hole and 1" access hole as needed.
Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. Be cautious of wires and fuel lines when drilling. Support the exhaust system when lowering it. If the hitch is removed after installation, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
Check the hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. This should be done regularly after installation to ensure the hitch remains secure.
A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Do not attempt to repair a damaged hitch or ball.
The wiring access location is PC3, 4. This information is provided for reference if wiring is required for trailer lighting or other electrical connections.
No, hitch 36530 is for non-Hybrid Lexus ES350 models only.
Maximum Gross Trailer Weight is 3500 lb (1589 kg) and maximum tongue weight is 300 lb (136 kg), but do not exceed your vehicle manufacturer's rating.
You need wrenches (10mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 17mm, 11/16", 3/4"), a small screwdriver, 1/4" and 1" drill bits, tin snips, a torque wrench, and lubricant or soapy water. Pull wires are provided.
Tighten all 7/16" GR5 fasteners to 50 lb-ft (68 N·m) and all 1/2" GR5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N·m) using a torque wrench.
No, the drawbar is sold separately. The compatible drawbar kit is part number 36071. The drawbar must be used in the RISE position only.
Mark and center punch the hole location using the hitch as a template. Lower the hitch and drill a 1/4" pilot hole first, then drill a 1" access hole as needed. Take caution to avoid wires and fuel lines when drilling.
Spray a lubricant on the metal hanger rod and the rubber isolator to help with removal. This will make it easier to lower the exhaust system at the rubber isolators. Be sure to support the exhaust system while performing this step.
Use the additional 1/2" flat washers as needed. The manual indicates that up to 2 optional flat washers are included due to vehicle variance. These washers will help the forward brackets sit properly against the bottom of the vehicle frame.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. If fasteners have loosened, retighten them to the required torque specifications: 7/16" GR5 fasteners to 50 lb-ft (68 N·m) and 1/2" GR5 fasteners to 75 lb-ft (102 N·m). Use a torque wrench to ensure proper tightness.
