Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.

Required tools: ratchet, torque wrench, safety glasses, sockets (10 mm, 19 mm, 22 mm, 3/4"), flat-head screwdriver, tin snips, tape measure, utility knife, and permanent marker. Spray lubricant is also recommended to assist in detaching exhaust isolators.
Yes. You must detach 3 rubber isolators from the exhaust (1 on driver side, 2 on passenger side), lower the exhaust slowly with support, and then raise it back into position after hitch installation. Use spray lubricant to assist in detaching the isolators.
Yes. You must trim the fascia and rear heat shield approximately 3 7/8" wide by 1" high from the bottom of the fascia using a utility knife and tin snips. You must also trim the corners of the rear heat shield using permanent marker lines as a guide. These modifications are permanent.
Torque the 1/2" fastener to 75 ft-lbs (102 N-m), the M14 fastener to 100 ft-lbs (136 N-m), and the M12 fasteners to 68 ft-lbs (92 N-m). Proper torque is essential to keep the hitch secure during towing.
Do not exceed the lower of your towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or: maximum gross trailer weight of 4500 lb (2041 kg) and maximum tongue weight of 675 lb (306 kg). This hitch is rated for weight-carrying only; weight-distributing capacity is not available.
Fastener kit 75227F includes: 3× M12 1.75 × 40 CL8.8 bolts with 12 mm flat washers and 1/2" lock washers; 1× M14 2.00 × 100 CL8.8 bolt with 5/8" conical washer; 1× 1/4" × 1" × 3" block; 1× 1/2"–13 × 1.75" GR 5 carriage bolt with 1/2" conical washer and 1/2"–13 GR 5 hex nut; and 1× 1/2"–13 fishwire.
The manual states that installation takes approximately 45 minutes for professional installers. If you do not feel comfortable performing the installation on your own or need assistance, contact a professional installer. The installation involves working beneath the vehicle, removing and lowering the exhaust system, and using the reverse fishwire technique, which requires care.
The reverse fishwire technique is used to position the 1/2" carriage bolt (Item 7) and block (Item 6) through the rearward access hole on the driver side frame rail. The process involves: (A) inserting the bolt and block into the frame, (B) aligning the block on the access hole, and (C) pulling the bolt through the block. Leave the fishwire temporarily attached to lead the bolt through the hitch slot during installation.
Using a permanent marker, trace on the heat shield where it touches the inside fascia near both exhaust pipes. Remove the rear heat shield by removing 4 hex bolts (10 mm) and 8 screws. Set the heat shield aside. After trimming the fascia and heat shield corners using the permanent marker lines as a guide, reinstall the heat shield.
Trim the fascia approximately 3 7/8" wide by 1" high from the bottom of the fascia using a utility knife and tin snips. Use the permanent marker lines traced on the heat shield as a guide when trimming the corners of the rear heat shield.
The manual shows fastener locations in the installation diagram but does not specify a particular installation sequence. Install all fasteners as shown in the diagram, then torque them to specification: 1/2" fastener to 75 ft-lbs (102 N-m), M14 fastener to 100 ft-lbs (136 N-m), and M12 fasteners to 68 ft-lbs (92 N-m).

Torque the M14 fastener to 100 ft-lbs (136 N-m).

Always wear safety glasses during installation. Observe safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. Lower the exhaust slowly and support it to prevent damage. Do not cut, weld, or modify the receiver.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. Proper torque is essential to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
