Draw-Tite has designed custom-fit trailer hitches since 1946 and is one of North America's most widely fitted hitch brands. Receiver hitches use solid all-welded construction and low-profile designs that follow modern vehicle contours, install with minimal bumper cutting or drilling, meet or exceed V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards, and carry a limited lifetime warranty.
Draw-Tite has been leading custom-fit trailer hitch design and engineering since its founding in 1946, and it remains one of the most widely fitted hitch brands in North America. The company's stated approach is straightforward: every hitch is tested rigorously so that it performs well beyond published industry standards, a philosophy it markets as Tested Tough. It sits within the Horizon Global towing group alongside Reese, Fulton, Bulldog, Tekonsha, Bargman and Wesbar.
Custom fit is the defining characteristic. Rather than adapting a universal design, Draw-Tite engineers a trailer hitch for a specific make, model and model year, so it bolts to existing frame locations with minimal bumper cutting or drilling. Low-profile designs follow the rear contours and aerodynamic styling of modern vehicles, which matters more than it once did now that rear fascias are shaped and sensor-equipped. Construction is solid all-welded steel for maximum strength, and every hitch meets or exceeds V5 CSA and SAE J684 standards and is backed by a nationwide limited lifetime warranty.
The range spans receiver sizes and classes to suit different loads, from 1-1/4 inch receivers for bike racks, cargo carriers and light trailers up through 2 inch receivers for heavier towing. Front mount hitches add a receiver at the front of the vehicle for winch mounts, snow plows, spare carriers and precise trailer positioning.
The Hidden Hitch series takes concealment further by mounting behind the vehicle's rear fascia, so the vehicle keeps its factory appearance until a removable receiver is fitted. Each is custom designed per make and model for a no-drill installation that does not compromise ground clearance, rated for up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. Matching plug-and-play wiring completes the towing system.

Equip your vehicle for towing and hitch-mounted accessories with a dependable CURT 2" trailer hitch. Designed for a vehicle-specific fit, CURT receiver hitches provide a strong and secure connection point for towing trailers, carrying bikes, transporting cargo and using other compatible 2-inch hitch accessories.
Our selection of CURT 2-inch receiver hitches includes options for trucks, SUVs, crossovers, vans and passenger vehicles. Each hitch is engineered to match specific vehicle mounting points, helping provide a clean installation and dependable performance. Depending on the vehicle application, available options may include Class 3, Class 4 and heavy-duty receiver hitches with different gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities.
A 2" x 2" receiver opening is one of the most common hitch sizes and works with a wide range of towing accessories, including ball mounts, bike racks, cargo carriers, hitch steps and tow hooks. When towing a trailer, you may also need a properly rated trailer ball, hitch pin, wiring harness, brake controller or weight distribution system.
CURT trailer hitches feature a durable black finish designed to help protect against rust, scratches and exposure to road conditions. Many models install using existing holes in the vehicle frame, although drilling, trimming or temporary removal of vehicle components may be required for certain applications.
Use our vehicle fitment tools to find the correct CURT 2" trailer hitch for your year, make and model. Always compare the hitch rating with your vehicle’s towing capacity and the ratings of every component in your towing setup. The maximum towing capacity is determined by the lowest-rated component.
Shop CURT 2-inch trailer hitches at TowUniverse for vehicle-specific fitment, trusted towing performance and access to the accessories needed to complete your towing setup.

| 2010 - 2017 | Volvo XC60 | Class 3 Trailer Hitch: 4000 lbs 400/4,000 lbs. Weight Carrying (tongue weight/gross trailer weight) 450/4,500 lbs. when used with a Weight Distribution Kit (tongue weight/gross trailer weight) Uses all existing holes. No Drilling required Install Time is 45 minutes |
Yes, part number 75671 is designed for the Volvo XC60. The hitch is supplied with part number 87566 and uses fastener kit 75671F. The installation manual confirms this is the correct application.
The maximum gross trailer weight depends on the hitch type: Weight Distributing hitch has a max gross trailer weight of 4,500 lb (2,043 kg) with max tongue weight of 450 lb (204 kg). Weight Carrying ball mount has a max gross trailer weight of 4,000 lb (1,816 kg) with max tongue weight of 400 lb (181 kg). Do not exceed the lower of the towing vehicle manufacturer's rating or these hitch ratings.
Use only an 8.5" long x 3/4" rise x 2" drop ball mount with this hitch.
The 75671F fastener kit includes: (4) carriage bolts 7/16"-14 x 1-1/2" grade 5; (2) carriage bolts 7/16"-14 x 2" grade 5; (6) nuts 7/16"-14; (4) blocks 1/4" x 1" x 3"; (2) blocks 1/2" x 1-1/4" x 2-1/2"; (2) blocks 3/16" x 1" x 2"; (6) conical washers 7/16"; and (2) fish wires 7/16".
Required tools: wrenches (13 mm and 11/16"), tin snips, torque wrench, and the fish wire provided in the kit. No drill bits are needed.
Yes, the first step of installation is to raise the vehicle. The exhaust must then be lowered by removing the rubber isolator from the muffler support, and the exhaust hanger must be temporarily removed to facilitate heat shield trimming and hitch installation.
No, drilling is not required. The manual lists "Drill Bits: none" in the equipment required section. However, trimming of the heat shield on both sides with tin snips is required.
Yes, the heat shield must be trimmed on both sides using tin snips as shown in the installation diagram. The manual cautions that the edges are sharp after trimming. This trimming is performed in step 3 after raising the vehicle and lowering the exhaust.
The fish wire is used to guide the carriage bolts through the frame access holes during installation. The coil end of the fish wire is inserted through attachment holes in the hitch and into the frame, then angled back so it exits the end of the bumper. The bolts are then threaded onto the fish wire to pull them into position.
The hitch should be slid over the exhaust into position. When raising the hitch up to the frame, ensure that fasteners are not pushed back into the frame. The exhaust has been lowered in earlier steps to allow the hitch to slide into proper position.
Three types of spacing blocks are included in the fastener kit: 1/4" x 1" x 3" blocks (qty 4), 1/2" x 1-1/4" x 2-1/2" blocks (qty 2), and 3/16" x 1" x 2" blocks (qty 2). The 1/2" x 1-1/4" x 2-1/2" block (item 3) is slid between the hitch and frame at the forward attachment point to maintain proper spacing.
All 7/16" fasteners must be tightened with a torque wrench to 50 lb-ft (68 N·m).
The fasteners should be installed loosely initially. In step 6, conical washers and nuts are installed loosely. The hitch is then pulled rearward as much as possible in step 9, and only then are all fasteners tightened to the specified torque of 50 lb-ft (68 N·m).
Foam tape that was covering holes on the bottom and inside of the frame should be removed during installation (step 4) and kept for reuse. After the hitch is installed and fasteners are tightened, the foam tape should be cut and used to cover any unused holes in the frame to prevent water and exhaust fumes from entering.
Yes, in step 10, the muffler hanger that was temporarily removed in step 2 must be reinstalled. The muffler must also be reattached to the rubber isolators.
Check the hitch frequently to ensure all fasteners and the ball are properly tightened. The manual emphasizes this as an ongoing maintenance requirement, not just a one-time check after installation.
Observe safety precautions when working beneath the vehicle and wear eye protection. The trimmed heat shield edges are sharp. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
A damaged hitch or ball must be removed and replaced. Do not attempt to repair or continue using a damaged component.
If the hitch is removed, plug all holes in the trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes.
Yes, a compatible bike rack, cargo carrier or other accessory with a 2" x 2" shank can generally be used. Make sure the accessory does not exceed the hitch’s tongue weight rating, the vehicle’s limits or the accessory manufacturer’s capacity. Account for the combined weight of the carrier and everything loaded onto it.
